Why doesn't my Dreamcast controller work with Nintendont? I really want to play Crazy Taxi and Shenmue, this is unacceptable.

I'm kidding, don't let the haters get you down, I take what I can get (which has been amazing by the way).
It does. One of the adapters in the first post have a working dreamcast controller port

What is the response you get?
It just doesn't connect at all?

I think it might be because third party wiimotes/nunchucks/classic controllers use a different encryption for the initialization, which might cause no response at all.
It's strange, the remote assigns itself as controller 4 but fails to respond to any button presses. I suspect it has actually lost connection with the console.

Even when restarting the console, the remote will still refuse to connect to the console unless I remove and re-insert the battery.

So stop buying third party crap, and get a real one? lol
It's called a bug report. I'm not suggesting that this has to be fixed, just making the devs aware.

I'm trying to launch Melee from USB Loader GX, and my paths are configured correctly and I see it on the list, but when I click it, it says: "Error: To run GameCube games with Nintendont you need to set your 'Main GameCube Path' on the first partition of the Hard Drive. I can't figure out how to fix this; it was working until a while ago when I updated the loader.dol (and I also did some partitioning on my HDD, but the FAT32 drive where my game is located is both primary and active).

also you can always just hold down the upper "L" button on the wiiu pro controller to do a mid-press which is enough for most games.

Thank you for all your hard work. I've looked through the code and I can't really determine how your determining which BT Controller your using. Can you share where that is done for the HID/VID.

FIX94 dude, take a break, you deserve it after all this and the work you have put into Nintendont is exceptional and also kind of amazing.

Take a break, forget the haters, go play some games (or whatever it is you like) and come back re-energized.

It is best to post problems using loaders in their own threads . So please post your problem in the USB Loader Gx thread.

I really enjoy the wiiu pro controller, the thing about it is it doesnt have analog triggers, there is a way to emulate a middle press though by holding the upper L button when using L and R. Overall I can really recommend it.

Is that active already or something I have to compile.... like Holding L will make zL and zR half a press?

thats enough criticism to the work of me and the other developers, thanks to you JuanLeOnardO and to many others who are extremly ignorant and only want their own problems solved and cant stop whining about it I'll take some time off nintendont, thanks for the people who supported me and to those who cant stop begging, there you go, hope you are happy with that.

Fix, go get some rest and enjoy your work! After all you also have to have some fun... You did a great job here, giving us a fully functional alternative to others loaders, with all functions we always wanted (bluetooth controllers, audio streaming, great compatibility constantly being improved) and all this on your spare time,
receiving no money for it.....

Just ignore all those ungrateful posts!!!

Most of us are really happy for all you've done!!!!

Thank you for all your hard work!!!

I can confirm that third party Wii remotes do not work with Nintendont. I have the same problem with my third party Wii remote plus (with official Classic controller).
My Tron controller works just fine. I tried a Memorex, all four lights light up. A few seconds after turning it off, two seconds of music loop over and over again, and then the game (Melee in this case) freezes with a loud BEEEEEEEEEEEEP.... Tried an Ematic as well. It goes to port 4 no matter what, but doesn't respond.
FIX94 So does that mean that third party wiimotes will never be supported, or can you see what you can do if users give you necessary information?

Holy hell. The bluetooth support is incredible! The programmers achieved this MUCH sooner than I anticipated. Hats off. -- Everything* works great. Although, I do have one sub-minutia issue: I'm using the MayFlash Gamecube Adapter for Wii U connecting my original Gamecube controller to my WiiMote. All the buttons work, except for the start button - A lot of games demand you press start first, but in doing so, I end up resetting Nintendont to the homebrew screen. Will a different controller.ini file in my root cure this? I had the PS3 controller file before the bluetooth was integrated. I saw a couple Mayflash CC/Pro files - are they what I need?. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance.
First of all...Called it.
Secondly, You should really read up on your adapter. A single press of the start button=Select(-) on the classic controller. A double tap=start. Holding it down = Home.

Per Adeka's advice, I'm uploading my save data for Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
It's saved after the prologue. Attempting to start chapter 1 results in it freezing after the chapter title.
Please let me know if you guys can replicate the problem.

Link to save

Fix94, sorry to hear that people are being such assholes. Most of us do appreciate your work and will be happily waiting until you come back.

FIX94 my sincere apologies for being ungrateful of my part... i sounded very stupid.

I was stressed with my controller+adapter and i lost my head.

without devs, we would not be playing right now or never. I appreciate all hard-work since first release and revisions from them :/

and sorry for being offtopic xD

WAY TO GO, A-HOLES!

See where your stupid whinning, begging and bitching took you?
NOWHERE!!!

If you users could have just waited patiently for more updates like normal and contributing/thankful people do, we would still be on the look out for further progress and fixes.
Now thanks to those nunchuck and "professional gamer" ungrateful users
(which is in no way professional, if he were to play competitively, he would use the real console since I don't think tournaments will run Melee through Nintendont, will they? Use logic, Dumbo),
you will have NONE OF OUR REQUESTS!

As I said, there were only two options...
1. The developers eventually do it after several requests.
2. The developers get tired of your BS and stop the development of the app due to the bitching.

As you can see, the most obvious was No. 2, and that's just what happened.

Seriously, I cannot understand that kind of people.

You are given FREELY the opportunity to play your NGC games in the Wii U with a great variety of controllers, settings, memory card options, etc, and not even say you have audio streaming supported and bluetooth in an app that is almost on pair with Devo conpatibility-wise and IS FREE SOURCE.
AND YOU STILL BITCH ABOUT IT!!!!
WHYYYYYY??!!

I am so mad, seriously.
This is exactly what I was trying to avoid by reporting and keeping the Nunchuck guys at bay.
Heck even I was being bothered constantly with PMs nagging me about adding nunchuck to the app even when I am not even a developer.

As for that guy bitching just because he can't play "competitively"...
God I have no words to reply to such st*pidity.

FIX94, you are a saint for taking so much complaints in the past.
Your tolerance is something worth noting, and quite big if you allow me to say so.
Sadly, we all have a boiling point, and you took much more than needed.

Take your well deserved time to rest and enjoy other stuff.
I appreciate and thank you for all your hard work put into this app with all my honesty.

Thank you and Godspeed!

I just knew that people would be bitching and whining about such useless trivialities about certain controllers not being supported, why am I not surprised. People are given something for free like you said, instead, whiny little punks have to bitch and moan that the nunchuck or X controller isn't supported, and well, these whiners are utterly full of bullshit, who do these kiddies think they are??

FIX94 Please, keep up the good work, what you've done is outstanding and incontrovertibly amazing, please take a rest though, you've put up with enough lately and frankly, these whining kids need to stop being so self-entitled. Keep it up!

Too all those complaining: Whining about certain pads not being supported, too bad. Shut the hell up and be more grateful. Good day.

Fix said he was taking a break, not up and quitting altogether. Let's just stop with the hostility and continue to offer support to those who need it. After a while, maybe Fix will come back with some fresh ideas and amaze us all. Until then, let's all just chill. :)

This could be a good time to establish some guidelines and rules for posting on this topic like instant ban after three posts bitching with the same request or pestering a dev with already denied requests, this can also prevent the "you know who's jealousy of nintendont" lapdogs bitching strategy to make devs angry and tired of all the stupid nonsense about controllers to make them drop the project.

P.S.
I want to nominate juanleOnardO and his lame "apology" after tons of posts bitching about the same request for mayor of the town of yourassbannedburg ;)

Fair enough, that being said, people need to cut back on the incessant nagging and asking X to be supported.

And to all the whiners, shut your festering gobs, grow a pair and deal with it.

I honestly would like the opposite, being able to run my Dreamcast with other controllers due to my old controllers being broken and hard to work with and I can't find first party ones where I live like... ever!

FIX94 I hope you feel better, take all the time you need, you already did more than enough and we are grateful for your work, I just hope I didn't hurt you too as I wasn't nagging I was only testing and reporting issues as my part of supporting the project, in any case most of my games work now and the few ones that don't work with Dios Mios or Quadforce, thank you for your time and patience and good luck!
