Does this not happen to anyone else? I'm sure USB 3.0 is fast enough.. I've heard it is faster than any SD cards. Are SD cards more commonly used and just better for Nintendon't?

just dont use sticks simple as that, the wii does not like sticks at all, if you want it safe then just use a HDD.

Hello everyone.
Does anyone know the revision that fixed fire emblem path of radiance? The rev I'm using has a white screen.
The guy in #13 here:

says that it was r2.197. Where can I find that revision?

Nothing is forced, widescreen and progressive are both off.
Is there a download link to that specific revision please.

Because he's a programmer and knows a lot of the inner workings of the Wii USB code, his experience of over three years of Wiiflow, USB sticks just aren't that reliable, HDDs really aren't that much lol.

NO! SD cards are probably the worst.

Just buy a cheap HDD, it's really not a hassle, nor should it be. I fail to see the reasoning behind the tenacity to not get one.

SD/SDHC cards will work (think even SDXC if running FAT32), but I'd recommend an USB HDD.

so for all those people who really want to go check this out:
-added 2 new settings which allow the modification of the video width as well as the vertical video offset, this should help in getting gc games to fullscreen if required, note that this way will worsen the picture quality as a tradeoff
I hope you can live with the consequences of making the scaling bigger.
oh also as a tip if it gets too weird you can always use force (deflicker) ntsc with force progressive to smooth out the picture, that works most of the time.

One of my greatest wishes has come true.

just using right now fire emblem ntsc on 354 works fine did a mission and all no white screens so yeah if you are on 354 and cant get the game to work you can get help my responding to every question below

everything off except mcemu and video on forced ntsc and language on auto.


Also tested blood omen 2 legacy of kain euro becuase some random IP person edited the compat list saying it didnt launch and guess what? it works fine, i hate people that randomly change the compat list that dont even register or ask for help here, is it not possible to at least block unregistred user from editing the compat list? atleast make them register so we have a name?

HDDs generally cost less for more storage, and are less likely to have proprietary nonsense protocols that the Wii's IOS files and homebrew apps can't work with than thumb drives and SSDs are. I personally have never had any problems with USB thumb drives that weren't caused by incompetent coding on the part of the developer, or random, temporary hardware failure of the USB bus - the unplug it and plug it back in kind - (both of which would impact HDDs as well)

But, as I said, I shop for drives (or, rather, a drive - a 32GB Toshiba TransMemory for under £10 - I previously used a few old disks scattered around the place which all worked just as well, but had terrible 2006/2010-era capacities - hell, I still have my Mario Kart 8 data sitting on an old 4GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade) without nonsense proprietary things like hardware encryption and lockswitches (neither of which you need - oh no, the cybercriminals are gunna steal muh Path of Radiance savez!) and my need to keep my USB ports and plug sockets free outweighs my need or a few gigabytes of storage.

But, yes. Hard disks are more reliable.

Nope, nope, nope. Not for running large files such as games, at least. It's usually recommended to install your homebrew to an SD card, however, avoiding SDHC and up for compatibility reasons with older versions of IOS.


In short, get a hard disk unless you really know what you're doing. And if you need to ask at all, you probably don't.

I specifically remembered Fix stating that it only works with shared MCEmu. Plus, I just checked again and I still can't do it in revision 3.354.
@FIX94, I'm so sorry to bother you just after you just released the setting, but my TV seems to have a Vertical Offset of 0.5, so could you make it so it's changed by 0.5 intervals?

no it doesnt lol bios always worked with single mcemu lol fix himself uses single mcemu not multi
