I really wanted to figure this out, but alas I don't think I can get it on my own. I have an original Wii (the one with the gamecube hardware on the top) and have been attempting to get a solid setup for running both Gamecube and Wii games in USBloader GX. I have two hard drives I have tried. The first is a SSD that came with a laptop but is currently installed in an enclosure. Gamecube games work perfectly, but Wii games freeze occasionally during times when the game would be loading (in between levels, before opening company logos, etc.). As far as I know the drive does not have any sleep/standby setttings. The other drive I attempted to use after this is a 1tb Western Digital My Passport Ultra. This one runs Wii games perfectly, but gamecube games go to a black screen on auto-launch and freezes before the game can load when not set to auto. Nintendont does work most of the time from the Homebrew Channel in USBloadergx, but doesn't show on the normal Homebrew Channel. Apps are all on the sd card and games are stored on the USB drives. Both hard drives and the SD are formatted to FAT32. Wii games are formatted as wbfs, Gamecube games are nkit isos. The files for all of the games are the same on each device. I'd just like to fix one of these two problems, I don't particularly care which one. All I want is one drive that can do both game types. Thank you so much.
