Yes you heard it, and for anyone who didn't hear it, see the video below. Is region free. For people not familiar with this, it means you can now purchase any game on the switch that is from any region and play it on the system. Unlike the past consoles like NES, SNES, and other ones, is not limited to the region of the system distrubtion. This is a huge plus on things as things goes since is not common for nintendo to have this feature. Is so epic even Censored Gaming has a video about it. (See the video below). So is time to celebrate this if you want to. Cause i'm actually happy about it. :)
*Starts the music* NOW PLAYING DAFT PUNK, ONE MORE TIME! :P

That was the best part of the reveal. Should be a welcome addition to people who like japan rpgs. I pretty much only play 1st party titles cause the 3rd party titles are usually crap. I'll play the demo unit at Gamestop just to say I did and then proceed to wait for a real reason to purchase the switch.

I just hope that you can try demo of other region games from the eshop download service. So you can maybe try demos or buy them from the online store with the system. :)

Yeah, but people have now one reason less to hack the system.
But that one reason i don't think is still enough to not hack it, since people will anyway, especially if they want "Back up" of their games. If hacking the switch will take as long as wii u, that encrypted file system though. :P

ohh, region free? they got me this time!
Nice to see they are making progress. Let's see their online infrastructure now, and how accounts are working (one account on multiple console, etc.)

Well they said online modes will include voice chat, and lobbies, so is a step up from what we are used to. No friend codes, and hopefully no "FRIEND ONLY" game invites. :P

we still don't know exactly how the region free will work, if i buy Japanese breath of the wild and stick it in an american switch does it play in English or Japanese are the cartridges region specific despite being region free or are they all exactly the same? can i buy a Japanese switch change the language and have an American switch or will the console be stuck Japanese. there are still more questions we need answered.
