My Nintendo Switch Oled won’t fully boot, it just showing Nintendo logo and then just black screen

I assume there’s problem with the nand, but when I install picofly rp2040 to rebuild the nand, the chip gives me double short error (**) instead which means RST/B point was not connected and still give me black screen after Nintendo logo

I did check the RST/B point, but there’s continuity between picofly to the switch

Can anyone help me figured out what’s the problem with this switch?

Does it still boot without rp2040 chip?
-Yes. then check your chipset DAT0/CMD/CLR/RST resistor combination
-No, you may have corrupted HOS firmware, rebuild if possible

Sadly it won't boot even without rp2040 chip, giving Nintendo logo than black screen

Is it possible to rebuild the firmware without able to boot to hekate?

try recovery mode and reset, otherwise hekate is the only way
unlike OG switch you could separately connect emmc module with emmc programmer, OLED module you have to use hekate to write rebuilt- firmware(system&user) back to emmc

Last edited by jkyoho,
* update it booted into hetake and i looked into some infos and it shows me fuel gauge ic info : everything 0 mah ?

Have the same problem but:

Initially was no 1.35v on max77620h IC. After replacement of power gauge (I found crack) and IC itself - it’s now boot to hekate and have 1.35v.

But…

I can’t boot to atmosphere / ofw whatever it’s on emummc / original - black screen after logo.

Consumption rises to 173-180mA while boot (ive adjusted autoboot to atmoshpere on mmc to do it without screen attached) and drops to 153mA after. (10k resistor simulates battery + 4v from bench power supply)

I’ve:

Checked MMC for speeds - 370MB/s + all green.
Battery status - all looks fine - shows discharge rate + all power statistics.
Re-created MMC from fresh HOS and dump (done backup before) and flash it back. Same stuff happening.

Also:

Replaced MT92 - same stuff - 15v triggering - no problem, same behavior.
Charging is working bq seems to be alive - but who knows…

As well as:
Checked shorted caps, inserting voltage with thermal camera…
Max77812 has only 0.6 + 0.8 on right inductors.

Thanks!

Ok, I’ve managed to fix it:

Actually - it will not boot with MAX77620A. After change to MAX77620H - working.
