DO NOT send your switch in for repairs. It's 99% a guarantee you'll end up with a patched on on the latest firmware.
You better try to fix it yourself or ask someone more acquainted with tech stuff to do it for you.

I heard they couldn't patch the bootrom when out of the factory but maybe i am wrong.
But some peoples switches have been refurbished.
Also when you use Homebrew even if you backup your saves, your warranty is gone.
