Nintendo switch ban

Hi everyone! I recently got banned on a Nintendo switch device. I was literally banned because I transferred my data and account on the new switch I bought (OLED). Yeah It sucks.. but now I'm worried that I will be banned a 2nd time because my nintendo account is still linked to the banned one. The problem is I can't unlink the nintendo account on the banned one.
Also is it going to ban my console again if I use the same account that I had/have on my banned console?

Having no idea what’s inside your data/account that would cause Ninty alarm, we can only speculate. Let’s assume for now there was some Game Save cheating. If you were to continue using the same Game Saves that were considered cheating, then yes, you would continue to be at risk for a ban. If the root cause was something else, this answer might change of course.

You don’t give any details about how you are now again Online and unbanned, making you exposed to being banned a second time.

You should be able to unlink your account in the Ninty web portal. If you need help with the portal you will need to call Ninty support to fix your account. You could also clarify with them what you need to do to avoid future bans. Again, we don’t have a lot of details here and we don’t have the rule book on bans…only educated guesses based on observation.

Thanks for replying!! So I’m not unbanned I just simply got a new switch, but I’m worried that it will get banned just as the previous one because I’m using the same account. Does it matter if i have the same one? Will I get banned once again? (AGAIN I DID NOT HACK or cheat or did anything i just wanted to transfer my data and boom I got banned probably because nintendo thought i was sharing my account)

There is console ban and there is account ban...
Account ban is permanent, no way around it just start buying your games again on a new account.
console ban is different, if your account is working still online...
no worries with a new console, except if you try to use jailbreak again after and go online with any Nintendo related stuff. this for they might ban your account.

Thank youu! No my account is fine (thank god!) I’m not going to jail break it or cheat/mod on games. I still have no idea why they banned my console

They ban a console for one account registered to this console have or cheted/modded in game, or has also logged into one of nintendo's servers while in CFW.
Console ban might be theoreticly reversable for a spoofed console ID might do the trick...
Theoreticly, for i don't know what nintendo uses as indicator of said console, if this is a non spoofable thing like a private/master key combo where nintendo has the master key, gets tricky...
It could be any friend logged in on your console with his own account already blacklisted.

A console ban is "reversible" but requires a donor console (cant remember exact details, but something to do with needing the prod.info) the downside is 99.99% of the time, the consoles that got unbanned by this method, got banned again within a week.



(Tbh I havent heard any reports say they unbanned themselves and stayed unbanned) so it pointless to try to unban yourself.

If you dont know why you get banned so probbaly yes it will be :X

First go with the banned console to the store it's bought, and make a rant for you want to know why it's banned (it's really wierd you didn't phone nintento or the store for details).
If you know why you got banned you can maybe also explain this or say it was a one time mistake and you learned your lesson.
for you reaching out to the shop or the fabric they might also see your point.
You've got the right to information for they locked something you paid for.
Last time i had such a problem was in WII era, modding one console got power fail while installing bootmii, i couldn't restore it, nintendo did suspect something but couldn't proof it.
They offered a replacement for half the price (too bad this replacement had the hardware upgrade so backup discs didn't work anymore)...
If they can't proof what you or anyone touching your old switch done something mallicious on purpose they might even lift a ban for you.

that info wasnt directly for you it was more just providing info to the others,

usually the second console wont get banned, its not guarantied tho,
from what ive heard and seen, what usually gets the second console banned is if the profile/account got banned, usually caused by doing charge backs and stuff like that

They just reverse a contract without telling why? you shouldn't accept that...
They should at least give a statement on why they come back on thier part of the bargen if you have no idea you did something wrong.
But i get the feeling the story is incomplete, for some reason he's fine with the console ban earlier? you're not fine with such a thing if you don't know you you broke the rules somewhere.
