During CES 2024, a company by the name of Altec Lansing may have accidentaly revealed the release of the Nintendo Switch 2.

During this company's press-release, they said that they've been working on AI-shark and they want to rebrand the former Gameshark software through this.

However, at a certain point they said this:

“The innovative gaming software is set to mark a significant leap forward in the gaming experience, bringing enhanced gameplay for beginner-level users. The official launch is planned to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2 in September 2024.”

But according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier's tweet, it's just a rumor.

You obv didn't even read your own post. It's only a rumor and we do not know the month of release yet!
Do you think Nintendo is dumb and CASUALLY before a game releases someone leaks it? CASUALLY in 2015 they put the icon of TLOZ:TP HD in the E-Shop files? CASUALLY Gameshark knows the release of Nintendo Switch 2? It's all made on purpose, even game leaks.

Altec Lansing... those are my speakers...

im quite bothered that its called generically as "switch 2". theres zero character in that. id much rather hear "new nintendo console"

I'm fine with my Switch Lite, thank you. :D

Also, Switch 2 would probably not be the final name, and its kinda confusing since its used to describe the V2 models. Something along the lines of New Nintendo Switch?

Well yeah, that's why it's a "leak" and not a "confirmation". We won't know the exact month with 100% certainty until Nintendo formally announces it; but a September 2024 release lines up with the obvious winding down of the Switch and the ever increasing volume of leaks coming out about the thing. It's good business; release TOTK and Mario Wonder as the last major hurrahs to squeeze a few more sales out of the Switch. Give the gaming community a year or so to cool down while releasing a few experiential titles and easy cash-grabs. Then come out roaring right before the holidays with the Switch 2 and a new blockbuster 3D Mario.
