Gaming Nintendo Pre-E3 Discussion

It's almost a month until E3 so I thought I would make a thread for Rumors/Speculation/Wishlists.
We've already been told that we will see Zelda at this E3, so that's something to look forward to
Hoping that it's a prequel to Skyward Sword and is Massively Singleplayer Online.
Also I strongly believe that Retro has been working on a secret title for several years now while working on side projects like Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Kind of like how the Zelda developement team made Wind Waker HD).
I think they are working on a Star Fox Reboot, that will hopefully be like what the original Ratchet and Clank was like.

- Super Mario Sunshine Wii U
- more 3rd party support
- Metroid Prime Wii U
- New IP which becomes one of the biggest IP's in 5 years time.

Let's see...

-a Startropics remake. While this will probably make a lot of people go "wuh?", it was no less obscure than Kid Icarus. Also: it's kinda like Zelda...
-F-zero U. It's my "bring this up" every year. Because, y'know...F-zero.
-an open world game. Last year I was hoping for GTA V, but I should've guessed that "third party support" didn't include Rockstar. And no, watch_dogs doesn't count (Christ...it should have been released by that time already!)
-wiiu bord games. The idea is that you put the control pad flat on the table so you and some friends can play games like chess, domino's and things like that. It'll still be a bit like gaming, but would certainly explain this stuff.
-wii fit u DLC. Because why else would you strip a couple of the best minigames from wii fit? (where the hell is snowboarding?).
-paper Mario. Surely there'll be a good way to use the second screen?
-a new fatal frame. At least this one is confirmed.
-Zelda 4 swords (eshop). If nintendo wants to make sure the extra screen gets noticed, this eshop...remake/VC-ish game should be right up their alley.

Yeah, I know...metroid or star fox would be the best to gain interest from gamers. But we all know nintendo doesn't think that way (and personally, I'm glad. I'm one of those few who likes DKC > metroid).

- Sin & Punishment 3
- new F-Zero made by Sega
- Golden Sun 4
- new Metroid made by Igarashi
- and of course... Shenmue 3

My real expectations:
- Give me a release date for X

As for Zelda, I believe it may actually be a sequel to Skyward Sword. Motion controls optional this time.
A new Mario RPG would be nice. I'd like to see a Mario RPG with a 3D overworld and the same kind of turn-based gameplay as Super Mario RPG.
Maybe Yarn Yoshi will finally resurface.
And I know we won't be getting any reveals but I would at least like the promise that we'll get a new traditional 3D Mario. Either this or a 3DS remake of Sunshine.

And this new 'quality of life' platform. Nintendo's $300 solution to Google Glass, maybe? Imagine Augmented Reality through your own eyes.

Holding my breath for Eternal Darkness sequel/remake. GameCube and n64 announced for vc. More HD remakes?

Also I'm disappointed GameSpot just now shot down the new hardware rumor. I was kinda excited about the possibility of a hardware (fusion?) reveal or tease.

Hm, all I'm really hoping for is Zelda U and a new Fire Emblem.
Zelda U is pretty much guaranteed, but Fire Emblem... at this point I'm wondering if we ever will get another game.

Edit: Oh, and finally getting some N64 games on the Wii U. I always hope for GC games eventually, but right now I just wanna play N64 on the gamepad D<

You're probably right (especially since IS is in the middle of a new Fire Emblem IIRC), but a simple announcement/teaser would be better than nothing, even if the game won't come until 2015/'16.

On a related note, I'd like to see something from SMT x Fire Emblem.

Skyward Sword just released 2.5 years ago, so I'm not expecting to see much from the new one. Maybe just a simple teaser image like th first taste they gave us of SS.

X, I'd like to see the final name (is it indeed Xenoblade 2, or a spiritual sequel?) and a release date. Plus more glorious footage.

Also, what the heck has Shigeru Miyamoto been working on the past couple years? He hinted that he was busy working on a new franchise, but I don't think we've heard about it since.

Yeah, but Awakening released in Japan in 2012, and the game before that 2010, so it's getting to be the time where we'd at least hear about a new FE. So I can't help but worry that the series died. (Though perhaps SMT x Fire Emblem IS the new game, but if that's the case, we still haven't heard about it in over a year...)

As for Zelda U - I don't care if it's a single image, teaser, or whatever. I just need SOMETHING to hype over. xD
