Nintendo does regular maintenance and they've never released an update after it. These threads pop up in the 3DS section with every update and they are always just panicking over nothing.

I guess so many people are in a panic b/c this is the first time in ages they have paid attention to their Wii U? LOL....now everyone is paranoid about maintenance LOL

Obviously better to have tubehax and other router protection on...

Although I doubt Nintendo will be deleting installed games... They might close the exploits being used on a newer firmware but judging from past history how Nintendo deal with this sort of thing, they just close the exploit (or try to) but tolerate the already pirated stuff even online.
