Hacking nintendo ds lite capabilities

i am just a newbie gamer , and i am planning to buy a handheld game console.
i would like to know if the nds is also capable of playing emulations, movies and mp3's.


please enlighten me...

Yea okay well if your gonna get a DS lite by itself heres wat it can do
-play NDS Games

-play Gba games

Now on the other hand when you get a flash kart kit (i got all of my stuff i needed for $80) your DS will be able to
-play free NDS game Roms

-Play free GBA game Roms

-play music

-play movies

-view picture
-ebook
-and more depends on wat flash kart kit you get

either get a ds with a flash cart or gp2x

there is a lot to compare, but keep this in mind:
video will look better on the gp2x
the gp2x can't play ds games
the gp2x lacks touchscreen, wifi, and rechargable batteries
gp2x emulates mame, snes, genesis etc. usually better than the ds
