I've already seen TV reportage with people using 3DS at Louvre museum.
unfortunately, It's (was? still looking that video) not usable outside of the museum.
edit: ok now it's available at home from eshop or with a cartridge bought at the museum :P

notice on how they hate the 2DS?

btw, its so awkward carrying the 3ds upside down on the belly, it looks like a retarded thing...

this for me is really useless
its cool how can i have a personal guide in my 3ds, but you know, if i am in the museum why do i want to see the paintings on the device if they are just in front of me.. if i want to zoom them, i think i just could use old school binoculars...

but yeah the different perspectives of the sculptures are cool... but i rather use an ifruit\tablet device for guide...

I was wondering if the physical copy available at the museum is region free, because people from all over the world goes to louvre, not just europeans.

good question!
Maybe they have different game's regions available to sell.

But I think it's possible to have region free softwares on eshop (pokemon app?), it's probably possible as a cartridge too.

Someone living in Paris could take a look in few days?
mamule, smealum, Wiimpathy? or someone else.

On the boxart in the video it says "For use with European / Australian and American versions of 3DS and 2DS only". So it's probably double region carts.
