I've been thinking, you know... they say it's 800x240, 400x240 for each eye with 3D effects enabled, so if I turn off the 3D thingy, I'll get a pure 800x240?

I mean, they say there's a slider that controls how much the 3D effects is displayed, if I turn it off completely, there's no need to split 800x240 into two, right?

Holy SH*T

The graphics come very close to wii!

^ Looks a bit like MP3C

No, that's a 3D image which can be moved around to demonstrate the 3D effect. As evidenced by the "rotate camera" and "3D Slider" instructions on the bottom screen. Plus it was shown in some Youtubes video in another thread

Anyway, question: The bottom screen. It is called a "touch screen". Does this mean it will be usable with fingers in a similar manner to most modern touch-screen phones/iThings/etc? The specs also mention a telescopic stylus, so I'm slightly doubtful. Although the stylus may be primarily for backwards compatibility.

Corollary: will it be multi-touch?

Since the introduction of devices such as the iPhone, it seems a logical step to include these things, especially as they have now been proven to work well.

DOES IT SUPPORT FLASH???
Cause it should. If it did, it'd get shitty performance, and be limited to flash 7 (like the wii, whereas the current flash is 10). First, flash is quite simply a failure at efficiency. it uses way too much processing power to do simple things. Secondly, due to licensing terms no mobile flash version can be made unless an official SDK is released. No SDK has been released since version 7 (which is why non-PC things are locked at 7).

If it will have capabilities that will exceed Wii by far, that means it's gonna have games which can be even better graphically and performance-wise than those on the PSP, right?
Yes. However, it was never stated by any reliable source than it will exceed the wii by far.

I suggest some changes, with respect:

Q: Alright. How big is the screen size?
A: The top screen is a 3.53-inch widescreen LCD display, it is 3D. The lower touch screen is 3.02-inches.

Q: Does the DS in 3DS stand for Dual Screen?
A: It stands for 3 Dimensional System.

This one should be in bold, red, and as big a font as possible:
Q: Will My DS/DS Lite/DSi be able to play 3DS games?
A: Most likely not.

Q: Will it be hacked? If so, when?
A: No it will not. Not until it's released at least.

i cant belive there are actually people asking if there DS, DSL or DSi, DSi XL can play 3DS games.

Multi-touch like iphone require your finger to touch it.
A stylus would not work, therefore it is not multi-touch.

Do you have a source on that?

There are special styluses that are made to work with multi-touch

Yeah, there are, but it won't be fun to hold the thing in both hands, press buttons, and handle 2 styli at the same time....

Just because it is multi-touch doesn't mean that the developers have to force you to use multi-touch. It could be for a touch screen only game.

I wasn't saying that the 3DS would have multi-touch, I was just saying you shouldn't count it out because the 3DS has a stylus.

It looks.. Well..
REALLY REALLY AWESOME 8D
Hoping someone will be able to make good flashcarts, and it won't be unhackable ^^"
