ROM Hack Newbie help

Hi All



I just joined and have a quick question regarding my r4 clone.

I have a R41-SDHC card and it has the latest firmware on it and the two games i want to play the most (the mario rpg's) are having problems.

Firstly there is Partners in time. Which works to a point. I can play for a bit but then even after i have a save game the game seems to renitialize and wont recognise the fact i have a save, which annoys the hell out of me. I have played the first 15 minutes to half hour about 5 times. I really hate that little sack/bag type person because he interupts my constant a button presses to progress the cut scenes.

*deep breath, serenity now*

Right on to inside story which has a lovely title screen and a great pick a save screen and thats all i can see. i cant select a save slot or create a game at all.


As i said i wanted to play these games quite badly due to getting hooked on the original mario and luigi rpg and getting borked on that too (another long sad story i will save for now!).


If there is anyone who can help me i will name my first born after you.

Isn't that against the rules, no asking for roms in any form. (what I got told once lol)

What I can tell you though is to get an Acekard 2i, A Supercard DS two or an original R4 with the wood firmware as a new flashcart; they all have good support.

go over to the R4 portion of this board. They might be able to help you there.

What they are not saying is that you can patch it yourself. Lookup (insert game name here) patch and then use that patch when you get it.

I am not going to fix it for you. All I can do is try to point you in the right direction.
My nephew had the same problem with bowsers inside story....
