To clarify - this is just another entrypoint for BadUpdate that doesn't require any game. The entire development was public knowledge if you were hanging around Discord etc. Excellent work from shutterbug as always.

had the same problem till i copied over the BadUpdatePayload from ABadAVATAR . now everything works 100%I wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Anyway, I used BadBuilder in order to get all the necessary files for the USB. After that, I removed the Rock Band Blitz stuff and added ABadAvatar stuff. That should be it, right? Well, I plug the USB drive into the console and boot the console and it does appear that it's doing something. ABadAvatar profile shows up, the screen is not frozen but I'm not seeing the "ABadAvatar is FREE software!" message and the power button is fully lit except for the bottom right corner and it's stuck on there (the screen isn't frozen). I've made several attempts and none was successful thus far. I have a XBOX 360 S Trinity PAL console if that matters at all. BadUpdate works perfectly fine and I'm using the same USB drive for it so even the USB drive should be fine. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Compared to the Modded Warfare's video, I manage to get up to 8:52 and no matter how many times I try, XeUnshacke animation doesn't appear. I also tried both 1.03 and 1.02 XeUnshackle, same result.
EDIT #2: The notification not appearing was my fault as I've disabled notifications.

I believe that I've done the same thing and still had no luck with it. I've extracted this archive to the root of the USB drive which should be the same thing you and probably everyone else did. I've also reverted back to BadUpdate to see if that works properly and, sure enough, it worked like a charm. Still no luck with ABadAvatar. Will try few more times sometime later. In most of the tries I've tried, I had my wired controller plugged into one of the USB ports and I've used the back USB ports only. I've tried with only the USB with the exploit plugged in and still nothing. Will try with the front USB ports only to see if there's any difference. The only slight issue I have is if I have 2 Flash drives plugged into the front, one with the exploit and one with some games, the console will not run the exploit. As soon as I remove the second drive and reboot, it works fine. Minor issue obviously.
The Xbox has no standarised way of accessing USB devices after the first one and this may be the cause for this. Simply unplug one of them for the exploitThe only slight issue I have is if I have 2 Flash drives plugged into the front, one with the exploit and one with some games, the console will not run the exploit.
What I ended up doing is just having the exploit and the games on the same drive which of course works fine. The Xbox has no standarised way of accessing USB devices after the first one and this may be the cause for this. Simply unplug one of them for the exploit
i used the one from this video pinned comments ABadAvatar 1.0 am sure they the same maybe ? try putting that on the usb drive and seeI believe that I've done the same thing and still had no luck with it. Ah, that might be the culprit. Back when I updated to 17559, I didn't have an internal HDD. Will give that a try and see if it works before moving onto anything else. ^^ Thanks for the tip (and possibly a solution as well)! Are you sure that you have the avatar system update ? without it, it will not work. , If you don't have an sata harddisk drive connected while updating to 17559 dash then it will not install the avatar update.
solution is to run the 17559 system update again but this time with sata harddisk connected.
Looks like something even bigger than Bad Uodate is coming.
Grimdoomer has been modifying HDD FWs in the past few weeks and this is the result.

You cant go passed 500gb with this so rgh at 16tb+ is still the best possible - There's also other things you can only do with rgh. You need 17559 dash for this to work on all 360s so you get the same stock dash - You can use FSD or aurora once exploit is triggered though. This is truly outstanding. RGH will obsolete with this and be needed no more. The only plausible thing to me for how this works is if he somehow found the key(s).
Also, has there been any more dashboard updates or can I still use the recently released version? I held off on updating my Falcon Xbox 360, but I recently bought a Winchester and I would not mind using the newer cleaner dashboard design that also allow for a calendar setting that goes past 2025.

The advice on ABadAvatar is to cut the connection, copy said $SystemUpdate to a USB, and install it offline before using the exploit. Online system update may be quicker on paper, but doing this saves you from having to checkThis is truly outstanding. RGH will obsolete with this and be needed no more. I've extracted the contents of the update archive to the root of the USB drive and I didn't get any prompt to update (or re-update in my case) as I'm already on 17559. I feel like I'm missing out on something again.solution is to run the 17559 system update again but this time with sata harddisk connected.
Yep, I did have default.xex in the BadUpdatePayload folder.make sure you have default.xex in the badupdatepayload folder its not in the archive you linked to.

Make sure the update is in the $SystemUpdate folder.
It's been in English all along so I'm not sure if that's the issue.put system settings to english language, the first time i tried on a old phat xbox the exploit wasn't working here either then i change system settings from Dutch to English and I signed in and out of a profile after that it was working.
I think that mine has 4GB internal memory as well, it's the XBOX 360 S with Trinity motherboard.I was surprised the exploit works without sata hd, its because it has an 4 gb internal memory unit where the avatar update is installed.
