Have you seen the new Nintendo uDraw Tablet for the Wii? Maybe it's a sign...

Hmm - so if we 'remove' the slot for the Wiimote & the pen/cable - stick a couple of analogue sticks in the corners & make the rectangular section a touch screen - then ........ maybe

Although I like the IGN concept version as well

I don't think that they will go all touch screen. They need to keep the physical buttons and stick. Most people that have an iPhone myself included, don't really prefer the digital d-pad over having a real one to more accurately press. I think the screen will be more for games that you don't want the other player to see what you are picking, like baseball and football games for the plays. Or maybe for a faster way to enter your name like a digital keyboard and stuff like that. Maybe even some kind of trivia games?

I don't see them frustrating everyone with some kind of visual joystick or d-pad.

Ugh, I just want a comfortable controller, with physical buttons... with a bonus touch screen. It should have two analogues, a d-pad, a, b, x, y, start, L and R triggers... Which is why I like the IGN concept (a modified CC Pro with a screen slapped onto it).

I don't think the screen will protrude out of the controller like that, but will rather be in the center, and the controller will be a tad wider than the average controller. I would make a mockup if I had the time...

But please, no more remotes

Iwata said there would be buttons, but they could make a touch screen with parts what felt like buttons using haptic touch.

For you effort I choice concept 2 except it should slid out so it could be bigger horizontal and only be on the remote with the most buttons.

Sweet!

I must be in the minority that actually likes the way the wiimote and nunchuck feels as well as the freedom they offer both my hands.

Having said that, it wouldn't even make sense to do another remote like controller, especially since the touch screen classic like controller is pretty much confirmed.

Not to mention that if Nintendo wants to they probably will allow for new games to use the wiimote if it works better for the game (FPS would be the key genre here), afterall, many many wii games allow for you to use gamecube controllers.

Hi to all,.
i m new to this so i need some help here please, problem is: after making new game and puting in to the Wii it say to play this game i need upgrade the system , after upgrading wii i still can t play the game but old games doesn't work as well except original games and few copies of old games , i tried go to settings but problem is i can't access settings menu on wii,it says page doesn't exist ...so i dont know what to do ,if any 1 has any ideas please reply back to me.
thanks!

It's obvious you're new. On forums, if you have a question, it's common courtesy to first check around for the proper thread section, and within that for similar-sounding threads. If you can't find one, it's okay to start a new one. However, replying in a random thread that has nothing even closely to do with the subject is...lemme say that things would become very chaotic very fast if everyone started doing that.

Your question will certainly gather more responses if you make a thread about it in the wii hacking section.

Oh, and you might want to try to be a bit more specific as well. I think you're trying to get backup discs to work, but I'm not even sure about that either. Remember that not everyone has the exact same wii as you.

huh? where did that come from?

Pretty cool, I wish I could make art like that. Problem is, I'm not even a fan of IGN's design.
