Is there a new update coming out for the Acekard 2i soon? I was wondering if it would fix the freezes of 999, and other games.

It's your MicroSD dude.

I have a 2gb MicroSD from ShopTemp and 999 has worked perfectly.

The AAP option that bypasses them has issues with slow cards.

Either stuff is done to make AAP not so latency-sensitive (this will fix it) or if it's found to not be good enough for normal usage individual patches will be pushed out for the games (like with Wood) to fix them for all cards.

The AKAIO team is working on the AAP so that the speed of the uSD card won't matter. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a quick release of the next version.

So, any idea when could we expect new AKAIO? I'm following Akaio forum and GBAtemp, but I'm getting be impatient. I wanted play Golden Sun, week passed and still there is no info about new software ;/ I believe in you guys from Akaio team, but I want know that, you are officialy making new Akaio version, and i will be fine. I don't like going in blind, if you know what I mean by that

the highest latency you can have and still have ap patching work is 8254. normmatt is testing, in his private build, someting that should fix this problem. it should be included in akaio 1.9, and no release date has been set.

Do I understand you correctly that in the future Akaio 1.9 this lowest limit of 8254 isn't there anymore?
Will there be a higher limit, or none at all?

Will AP (work on all cards then, even slow ones)?

No, what I mean is this:

Will AP work with microSD's with a latency higher than 8254?
It will work with any microSD no matter how crap it is.

Ok, very cool! Awesome job. I'll keep monitoring your site for the release.

If that weren't the case I would buy a new faster card.
My card is fast enough to boot Golden Sun: Dark Dawn with AP on (latency of 9052), but triggers several Anti-Piracy measures ingame, most likely triggered by the slow card.

I must have misunderstood you then, I just wanted to be 100% sure.

@Normmatt
You probably have plenty of betatesters. However, if needed I can test this specific title (GS:DD) to see if the issues are gone with a specific build.

You only said it no longer breaks download-play, and if that was directly related to latency as well I don't think anybody else knew.
