no this cant be happening, seriously 8.0 update is just behind the scene fixes wtf Nintendo just as bad as Facebook with their dumb 11.0 and 12.0 update as being just bug fixes, no one seriously knows how to do numbering anymore

so possible new encryption that makes all the work of gateway useless?? Not useless, but now they need to work on a new encryption cracking module

DSTwo team has proven themselves fairly reliable about keeping up with the firmwares. IF, that's IF 8.0.0 blocks it, it'll be a couple days and supercard team will put out an update.

The major change is ITS NEW AND IMPROVED, NOT 6.0, NOT, 7.0 BUT YES, COUNT THEM 8.0!

No one knows really whats different yet, it just came out.

Yeah, I'm seeing two threads of the same topic. We might as well use the other since it was posted first.
I did notice they were in different sections, though. Even so, the "console" section (as the other thread used) seems more appropriate.

For Gateway owners, the DSTWO works perfectly fine on you actual 4.x firmware which the DSTWO runs on (not your EmuNAND).

For non-Gateway DSTWO owners, do not upgrade to 8.0.0 if you don't have to; remember if it works you MAY have to upgrade your DSTWO firmware which you will have to do under a supported firmware.

It could be that they implemented SDK7 encryption everywhere? Instead of just settings and eshop

My cheap ass R4 SDHC Dual core still works after the update. Safe to say they really don't care about DS mode flashcarts anymore.
