Hacking New to 3DS

Hey guys I am new to the 3DS and would like to know if the latest firmware stops you from using The R4 3DS?

Iirc, the 6.x firmwares require you to cut a trace of your R4.

It's best to get a DSTwo tho.
They continue to work regardless of FW update.

Or get a 4.5 3DS and a Gateway ;]

You'll need to sever a trace on the PCB of the R4

Save yourself the trouble and get a DSTwo.
It might be a bit more but you'll get a ton of features in return.

Or have someone with an software exploited PSP and flash the batteries EEPROM ;p
