I've been having a lot of issues getting any pokemon rom hack to run without a lot of glitches or freezing on my new EZ Flash DE. I had the standard omega for years and it ran everything without issues but now I can't seem to get anything besides a vanilla rom to run properly. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm ripping my hair out over this lol
I believe the rev. B boards have a bug where you need to save twice to get it to actually work for pokemon games.

Define save it twice if you don't mind? like save the .gbc file twice or the in game save?

Hello all!

I have been working on a new theme for the EZ-Flash Omega, and I call it Simple.

It is a nice rounded theme with both light and dark options, and allows for way more functionality on your Game Boy Advance!

Its features are:

PogoShell plugin support
A handful of plugins are included which means you can launch way more emulators and file types such as text documents, images, and music.

Save backup feature
When enabled, this will make up to five backups of the save file belonging to the ROM/file you are opening.

Better English translation
Just better in general

Cleaner sans-serif font

An option to hard reset the console when booting a GBA game without holding L.

I implemented this because I know some people like me like having the BIOS intro screen.

In short, it doesn't just look pretty, it gives your cartridge way more functionality as well!

Hope everyone likes it!

Latest version: v3.8
Latest version (DE): v1.52

DOWNLOAD SimpleDE.zip FOR YOUR CARTRIDGE.

OTHERWISE DOWNLOAD Simple.zip!
ALSO YOU MUST USE THE OFFICIAL KERNEL TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE; THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THE BASE OMEGA :(

READ THE INCLUDED TEXT DOCUMENT BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS!

Recently got an EZ Flash Omega DE after I picked up a DS Lite. With this theme, how do I go about hiding the "GAME BOY Advance" bezel?

Yea sorry if I wasn't clear. I meant this text. The GBA logo. Is this not from the theme?

Also on vanilla EZ kernel I cannot run any of my third-party NES games that have Mappers, is there any way to play them in this version?

Are you launching slot-2 from a slot-1 flashcart? If you are then you should look for a file on the DS cart's SD card called something like gbaframe.bmp and delete that.
Yea I tried this but didn't seemed to work. Knowing that it's caused by the DS flashcart tho helped. I'll just stick to having it ejected slightly when I play GBA.

I have a Question: Can we have Snes emulator for EZ flash DE? I dont rly know how but I wanna play sonic blast man again :(

Emulation capabilities are independent to the flash card used. There is not really a usable SNES emulator for GBA, there was once a proof of concept emulator released called PocketSNES, but I don't think it was anywhere near playable performance.

Hi Sterophonick,
Thanks for your developping work.

I m having an issue with SBM Advance 4 (smb3) on my OmegaDE, with the latest version of this kernel.
I also had this issue with the OmegaDE v1.5 Firmware6 and updating to 1.6 Firmware7 did fix the issue.
So I guess Omega made some changes to have better compatibility on OmegaDE RevB.
The issue is when you arrive on the menu where you choose SMB3 or SMB Vs game the game/sound freezes.
After wenting back to OmegaDe firware the game worked normaly again.
Does your kernel also work with the Rev B ?
