Will give a try on my DSone v3 when i'm at home.
This one is based on AKRPG sources and ak2 loader, so should be a good OS.

Hope they have fixed the cheat engine since beta release ...

Tested Some Codes on DQ6

Conclusion: the cheat engine is damn sucky! is still as bad as it used to be...

99% of the ASM codes doesn't work!

For example
-Walkthrough Wall
-Call Up Church
-Speed Multiplier
-Screen Change Speed Modifier

Woohoo! I'm excited, I didn't saw this card before. So is this new card from Supercard Team?
Nice GUI, really! Where I can find it? I'll buy. *and make skin*
No. The DSONEi has been out since May. *facepalm*

They're releasing a new flashcart called the Supercard DSTWO soon so you may want to wait for it.

I don't interesting the flashcards too much, so when the DSi is release I stop the following flashcard news.
BTW, Thanks for the info.

EDIT: this could be due to some codes could not be executed properly on the new EOS

Another note i think it doesn't support some condition code types
that explains why i get a freeze when i am trying to boot DQ6 with some codes on

The OS still needs some work, but from what i tested it has pretty good compatibility with the new games (most of the new games worked without any kind of update, even the ones that had problems at first on other cards, like Bookworm, when it was just released).
On the last closed beta we found that there were a lot of problems with the cheats (mainly to make them work), i still haven't checked with the public beta to see if some of them were fixed.
Also as someone else mentioned, rename your .sav extensions to .SAV. I tought this was already fixed, but apparently it might be not and could cause problems.
Other than that, when testing i found the OS pretty much stable, i tested over 200 different games on it and i only had problems with like 5 of them (and around 3 that worked only in clean mode). I sent reports about those games, so probably some of them are already working on this release.

Thanks,
just tell them their cheat engine still need some very very serious work

If you can tell me what are the technical things that should be added and what parts of the engine need work, i can send a pm to the administrator so they can work on it. From what i see in your posts is something related to the ASM cheats.
The main problems that we had regarding to the cheats were mainly related to the activation of them, tough that's probably fixed by now (still need to check).
And like you mention i noted that in some games only some of the cheats were working (mostly the ones related to stats, invisibility, completion rate, etc.) while others just didn't, but i don't really know enough about how the cheats work to tell them which part of the engine needs work or why they aren't working.

QUOTE(shakirmoledina @ Feb 5 2010, 05:01 AM) its kinda good but mainly i think the DAT and 4 save slots make the most difference...
still cracks me up "beautify the fonts is more beautiful"
The problem is that those changelogs and release info are made by people that doesn't have English as first language or an strong knowledge of it. But if it makes some of you feel better, some of us worked on the translation of the menus so they shouldn't be that bad, lol. Personally i did the Spanish language file and also made some changes to the English file (tough i think they weren't actually added, lol).

those cheats you quoted above is just a simple 8 , 16 and 32 bit code
and they were stats related code for hero

LOL, i think i am not really on the position or technical sound enough to comment on their work. However, i know someone could help them

I think all the Supercard users would really appreciate if some info on that can be given since it would help to improve the OS faster.
If you can contact that person later or you get more idea of what needs to be improved on the cheat engine, send me a pm and i'll report to the Supercard admin, hoping it can be fixed soon. Anyway i'll send a report for now mentioning that there are some problems on the cheat engine and that i'm waiting for more info on them.
Overall i had more success with stat codes but we haven't made extensive tests on the cheat engine, i was mostly focused on game compatibility and general problems, so i only tested the cheats on around 30 or 40 games. But we found that we had some inconsistencies since some cheats that seemed to work for me didn't work for another beta tester and viceversa. So we were kind of expecting that to be solved on the public release, since we couldn't figure what was happening overall. Not sure if you know him, but jmr as beta tester was doing some tests with the cheats, but overall we kind of gave up for a bit because of the inconsistencies, lol.
Anyway, i'll be lurking this thread in case of another problem appearing or someone needing my help, lol.

Just tried it. It's probably a little bit faster than the previous one.

It feels cleaner overall, even if I miss all those visualization methods (now there's only Icon and List available).

Didn't have any problems with the .sav extension as Destructobot said. It kept my saves regardless of having ".sav" or ".SAV" as extension.

I'm not a cheat user, so I haven't tested the cheat code engine. Still, I'll try it with some games later.

Game loading has good times. Long file name support is probably the best thing of this firmware. The in-game menu works pretty well. Still haven't tried the In-Game Reader.

I can't say that I'm a big fan of the new displaying method of the filenames (only 7 chars, and 11 when highlighted)

Pretty good overall, but it still needs some serious work.

Its faster then old one and looks better but compatibility is lower and some cheats dont work at all

I don't really think the compatibility is lower, specially on new games, on my tests on over 200 games only a few of them didn't work. Tough it has some problems with some cheats as you noted.

QUOTE(thaflie @ Feb 5 2010, 07:53 AM) It seems alright, but for some reason it won't show any jpg files. Anybody has the same problem?
It's normal, right now it only shows nds roms.

They won't probably reimplement image/music support. For that you'll need Moonshell2.

I'm of the idea that probably those functions will be left for the DS Two since it will have IPlayer hardware, but i guess there's no way to know about it right now.
Also, if you don't want to install Moonshell 2, you can load the old OS from EOS without problems, just load the msforsc.nds file as you usually load roms.

Just tested triple loader with new EOS.

I got EOS to run through triple loader just renaming "SCFW.SC" to "SCDSONE.NDS"
as we normally did with the previous SC OS.

Anyone else tried that?

Regards

Just tested, and it does seem to work, but any name would do as long as the extension is changed to .nds.
