Hardware New switch, can't use SD card?

So I got a 2nd Switch. It is on 4.1.0, where I would like to keep it. Problem is I can't use an SD card unless I update it? Is there a way around that?

你的SD卡的文件系统格式是FAT32吗?

Or you can just simply format your SD to Fat32 and it will work...
