Considering I just got a sky3ds blue button in the last week, think I should try returning it, refund - restocking fee.

Then order the new one.

I'm okay with my blue card because I only got it to exploit my japanese n3ds (a copy of cubic ninja was just as expensive)

The fact that the firmware is upgrade able is a good thing though

Well, I would assume someone buying a Sky3DS is going to be using it for piracy, as I don't believe you can dump your actual 3DS roms unless you are on 9.2 or lower :P Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If you own retail cart, you can always find and download that rom.

I thought it would be the green button edition. It was bound to happen though. At least they've finally used some common sense and made it firmware updatable. Honestly this is what the Sky3DS should have been from the beginning.

I think it is all a marketing ploy. They basically have gotten people to pay to beta test

"The N3DS is what the O3DS should have been from the beginning."
Sky and Nintendo are like kindred spirits. :P

inb4 hundreds update their 9.2 3DS's to get this then the card gets blocked in a FW update and they get locked out of CIA's as well.

Why would this not work on 9.2, and why would they want this if they're on 9.2?
Yeah, I have to agree. 9.2 people don't need to pay this any mind.

Sky3ds+ is for people who haven't researched the 3ds hacking scene yet (and so they don't have any existing solution <9.3, or sky3ds red/blue), and trust that sky3ds will actually support a firmware updatable flashcart. They shouldn't have an excuse to release a green button version ever if this is firmware updatable, but remember that red button version was purposely limited to 10 games. They're not exactly a consumer friendly company, so I would not be shocked if they still abandoned their existing customer base in the future...

Sky3DS+ is official. NO REFUNDS :tpi:

They just finished uploading something ****.com/sky.zip

Edit: and they deleted it.

What did that contain, were you able to download it?

Also, if they make this version cheaper, i will throw the money needed for it out the window and mark it as my territory.

It contains all the files on their website including several psd files for various images.

Damn it.
I just got the blue button Sky3ds for my birthday on the 13'th, then this happens. :hateit:
Though, after looking at the feature list there's not anything that'll make me want to instantly return the blue button version.
I'll enjoy the blue button version for now. :gba: (Once it arrives that is. lol)
