I know this was discussed somewhere in the last 100+ pages (or perhaps the thread before this)... but when you change a Pokemon to shiny with Powersaves, does it mess with the OTID/SID? Or does it just switch up the PID to shiny?
Doesnt that Cyber Gadet allow you to keep your own trainer ID number though?
Could someone do this for me if I traded them my pokemon?
Soo, that hacked mega Gardevoir with steam eruption and all that, is it tradeable?
Would be so cool if it was and it would have a major battle advantage if you could use it in an online battle.
Speaking of PKHeX, is ProjectPokemon just acting weird or is it impossible to actually download the latest version? I click the link and it goes to a blank white page with no download.
correct me if i am wrongCyber Save Editor does allow you to keep everything intact. If you use PKHeX by Kaphotics, it is super easy to do.
Well, you are partially correct. This is what happens:correct me if i am wrong
but if you don't change the trainer ID , the pokemon will become "hacked" and you can't trade it online
while if you changed the ID to match the shiny , it will look legit
so, you can trade that pokemon online ?Well, you are partially correct. This is what happens:
To make a Pokmon shiny, you have to makes it's SV (shiny value) to the TSV (trainer shiny value) of the OT (original trader.) When the SV = TSV, you get a shiny.
The SV can be changed by manipulating the PID. The TSV can be manipulated by changing the OT ID or the SID (secret ID).
Powersaves makes a shiny by not manipulating the PID, so the SV of the Pokemon stays the same. What it does do is alter the OT ID while leaving the SID alone. The OT ID is changed so that it generates a matching TSV that corresponds to the SV of the Pokemon.
When I use Cyber Save Editor, I use Kyphotic's PKHeX to just reroll the PID of the Pokemon to change it's SV to match my TSV.
The big difference between the two methods is that Powersaves results in a Pokemon that the game treats as a traded Pokemon, while the Cyber/PKHeX method makes the game treat it as a Pokemon that I caught.
Shiny locked pokemon cannot be traded if they're shiny period. No fancy hacking or matching OT/ID will change that. it's blocked on Nintendo's side. Other than that yes you can trade genned shiny things online. Just not wirh illegal movesets (or unreleased legends)so, you can trade that pokemon online ?
what about shinyfy locked pokemon ?
so, you can trade that pokemon online ?
what about shinyfy locked pokemon ?
oh , so you can make a legit latiosite ?Shiny locked is still shiny locked. That is a server blacklist problem there. Otherwise, if the Pokemon or item that it is holding isn't blacklisted, PKHeX will help you generate something identical to "legit" and it will trade.
Edit: Ninja'ed!
oh , so you can make a legit latiosite ?
oh, i forgot that item is blacklisted my NintendoI can, but I wouldn't know why you would need me to make it since Powersaves can make that for you.
