Hacking New Micro SD Card Won't Format

Just got a new 2GB SD card for my misses. The damn thing won't format, just says windows was unable to complete format. I tried using some specific SD card formatter as well. That claims to have completed successfully but windows still says that it needs formatting. Very odd.

Formatting in a digital camera sometimes helps

But seriously, try on other systems; If you can, try to format on a Mac, a PDA, a camera, etc. If it doesn't work, then you've got a bad card.

hmmmm. I don't have access to any micro SD compatible stuff other than my pc, an R4 and an AceKard...

The microSD is probably faulty. Hope you can return it.

Also check whether there is a usb-drive issue due to too fast unplugging of the usb device... I had Vista notify me of a corruption of the file-system on my micro-sd card. I was asked if I wanted to have the file-system corrected, and it worked. Could be a solution for your problem...

Make sure not to have more than one SD reader plugged into a computer at the same time they as they can conflict whith each other.
