because when everything else is in 24-bit 8-bit looks bad

furthermore 8-bit = no gradients.

If you're spriting, 8-bit and 16-bit is fine, but seriously, when designing graphics who the hell uses 8-bit?

Looks like homebrew icons are still not supported

And I also think homebrew still needs to be in the root to patch..

I tried converting a normal image to 8bit; certainly didn't look good.

Ah. This homebrew situation is pissing me off. Icons don't work, and it takes extra long to load one. 3in1 Tool is really slow with the G6R compared to with the R4 and the CycloDS Evo. Also, borders in game keep flashing in PSRAM mode..

Could somebody please verify if this happens for them:

1. The default order of file listing is in the order the files are copied onto the card (files copied later will be by default placed at the bottom of the list, requiring you select sort by name as a temporary solution (returns back to chronological listing at hard reset)).

2. Rudolph's 3in1 Tool - PSRAM run GBA games show the border (default black) as flashing black, and you can see the 3in1 Tool selection screen behind it.

3. If DSOrganize 2.8 GBAX works. Mine freezes at the loading screen

I wish mine worked like that, unfortunately it doesn't. Read my thread about it theres also a couple other people with the same problem.

On another note, just some applause to the skin makers, good job guys and keep developing those skins you guys make up the G6 skinning community.

I just wish that they would allow you to change the default folder for bootup (NDS) and I would like saves to be put in another folder in the next firmware. Oh, and proper scrolling, NOT just touch an empty bit on the bar to make it go down, actually being able to pull the knob up and down with the stylus. Just generally more polished like the G6 Lite.

What you describe is exactly how the G6 Lite menu works.
