Hacking New DS 2 design

Nintendo isn't going to announce a new DS (if one exists and has plans to be released) until Janurary. They don't want to ruin Chrismahanakwanzakah sales, they'll clear the old ones into the market and announce it, probably mid January or February. GBA SP was Feb., DS Lite was Jan.

I see very little reason for a redesign though...the DS Lite already is somewhat weaker than the original DS physically, and you need to be able to fit a battery. And unless they're going to integrate rumble/browser RAM, I don't see how you would be able to avoid angering people.

We'll see what happens. That mockup is extremely ugly.

We already established that this is a fake mock-up, so I won't go into that.

This design would never work. You thought the DSlite was fragile? Imagine playing some game intensely and those hinges constantly collapsing or just plain snapping off on you.

Another issue is that when it's folded up, the buttons would be facing the bottom of the unit.

In the pic, it looks nice, but it's not practical and would never work.

Ugly and if tis were to hit the stores, imagine the money Nintendo would lose under warranty fixing these and replacing them.

I would buy one of those. I never bought into the lite craze, but i would ditch my phat for that.
