Haha, build-in storage space. That's a laugh. This alone discredits the whole rumour.

If they did it'll probably have like 16mb so you can only have a few games.

I do suspect that Nintendo will do handheld games on VC but it'll be in some really stupid way, like you need to transfer the game with the Wii via Wi-Fi. If you turn off your DS you'll lose the game thus having to transfer the game AGAIN. But for games that save you can transfer the save over to the Wii for later use.

Would Nintendo be that dumb?

Hey this reminds me of Sony and Playstation Network titles and PS3

Surely it would have a NAND like the Wii. NAND proved really successful, and it's also cheap and small. I think they would put a 64mb one, thinking the DS could only play NES, SMS and TG16 games. I don't think SNES ones, but who knows.

Also, there should be something like a DS-Wii unique link, so that you can exchange games from your Wii to your DS and back again. I think that games would be purchasable in kiosk-like stations or with your Wii. Or maybe even direct Wi-Fi connection and a little DS Shop that uses Wii-Points (no sense in creating another series of points just for DS)

Nintendo will make another version of DS...they are making heaps of money but they always want more. The lite increased sales pretty nicely..wouldn't be surprised if they did it again in a year or so.

Nintendo didn't say that, a rumor said that. I don't know if I believe the rumor or not, but I certainly hope it's false. I was upset that they didn't have GB/C compatibility in the DS, so the lack of GBA support would really tick me off.

honestly? that thing looks ugly as hell imo
it'd be 1.5 times as thick as the SP and it would be pretty hard to keep the hinges 'open' (if you know what i mean) from my viewpoint - of course, nintendo might do something to prevent that but if that thing came out, i wouldnt buy it... =/
