New Dissidia footage - Cloud vs. Sephi.

"Yes, Cloud and Sephiroth are in Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Anyone who knows anything about Final Fantasy figured out the two characters would be Dissidia way before Square Enix officially announced them. But what do they do in Dissidia? This trailer of gives us a pretty good idea.

When Cloud goes into EX Mode he uses the Omnislash limit break. Sephiroth can counter by going into EX mode and casting Supernova, the powerful spell he uses when he is the last boss in Final Fantasy VII. Unfortunately, he doesn’t transform into the maniac angel from the last fight where his legs are replaced with wings. In the clip it looks like the two limit breaks can be charged by tapping the circle button too, but this could just be for show since other Dissidia characters don’t use a similar system."

holy crap! I saw the video. That game look amazing. Its the first PSP game that made me envious of the PSP. It is a PSP game right? not a ps2?

Yep, it's a PSP game. I'm really excited for it, although the battle system looks a bit complicated. Still, I'm a huge fan of the Final Fantasy series, so this is something I always wanted to see happen.

Well... for some reason, they announced Sephi, but they didn't announce Cloud until much later on... which made a lot of fans believe it would be Zach instead of Cloud.

Sorry but this is another reason for me NOT to buy a PSP don't get me wrong i like FF but not ANY FF
the best last FF i played was FFIX even tho the characters suck imo but the gameplay was good, after that all the FF was simply overrated and sucky compared to FF7 on PSone imo

this Dissidia is kinda..... how do i put it.........

i mean am i the only one who wish if they bring back the ORIGINAL cloud and sephi. from FF7 on the PSone?!!
because those 2 look way too gay in their new look

They used the Kingdom Hearts fighting system in this game, which imho, is one of the best there is among real-time fighting systems.

That's the closest Cloud has ever looked to his PS1 look than ever before. More accurate than the KH games for sure.

I really hope square enix doesn't fuck this up. This is getting me hyped up 'cause of the video. The battle looks very complicated, but that's what intrigues me. If it was just a plain arcade style mode like marvel vs capcom 2.. I'd rather just play MvC2 then. Pleaseeee. Don't screw this up.

Kind of reminds me of the game.. Energheiz? Is that how you spell it? It was some crossover game on the psx with FF characters. It wasn't that great.

This isn't just "ANY" FF game. This is actually supposed to have some merit to it. SE has been working on this for a LOOONNGG time now.


And I love how people jump all over it as soon as they release footage showing Cloud and Sephiroth (A generic emo main character and a washed up mama's boy who is a clear rip-off of Kefka). How I hate people...
