Hello community.

I have a question. The thing is...i bought a new 3ds xl snes from eBay. And this device runs flawlessly. But the hinge is a little bit..."wobbly" would i say. I mean, i read a lot in terms of the build quality of the new 3ds consoles. But is this normal?

Shame on you nintendo...
Mine became loose like yours after a particularly bad drop.

Here's my n3DSXL waving / flapping back hello.

It's possible to fix this by replacing the hinges but at a high risk of damaging the upper LCD, camera, and speaker flex cables.

Edit - I don't know if the old 3DS XL hinge is cross compatible with the n3DSXL.

It's really a lottery and it's always been like that on nintendo consoles (same for TN vs IPS panels). You either get a clicky and wobbly hinge or a silent and firm one.
