Hey. I bought recently a n3ds xl in NEW condition for 200€. I was really lucky there.
When I tried to move the c stick of my n3ds, I realized it’s not moving at all. I tried to force it to move by pushing it a bit harder but it’s still not moving. Maybe there is a lock mechanism. If there is a lock mechanism, how do I unlock it?
I am scared to push it a lot harder, maybe it breaks then. So I ask here before I do something stupid.

The left stick moves fine. But not the right one. And I don’t think my n3ds is broken, because I got it in a brand new condition.

I can’t really believe what you are saying, sorry, because I know Nintendo really well. If they build a stick, they want their users to move the stick like the left stick on the 3Ds and not want us to do weird things like this. And why should they build a round stick looking like the left one but being just smaller, if they don’t want you to move it ? It makes really no sense xD.

But I will definitely test what you wrote in a game later.

Nope. @Latiodile is correct.

Try the C-Stick calibration in the settings, or any C-Stick enabled games. The C-stick normally auto-reset and calibrate everytime you close the console. It's indeed just a stick nob. It doesn't move, and wouldn't have the space to move either way due to the XBYA buttons. You can also check back the New 3DS announcement trailer. You really don't know Nintendo enough.

Otherwise, you could replace it with a PSP style flat nub.

And no, modifying with it, won't make you able to slide it. It just change the nub. Won't be able to move slide either way.

Damn I see you guys are right. I tried the c stick in monster hunter 4 and it worked really. The c stick feels so horrible for me because I can’t move it.
Maybe I get used to it if I use it more.

"Important" to note here would be that the c-stick is technically misnamed by everyone and Nintendo mostly just chose the name because that pointing stick / trackpoint is intended to replace the c-stick from a GameCube controller.
They did that likely to avoid confusion with the trackpoints that generally are found on business laptops (particularly old IBM laptops and modern Lenovo ThinkPads) and functions as a mouse pointer there.

Wikipedia has a fun page on those things if you're curious about their history, they're actually older than touchpads.
Similarly you can swap the rubbercap out, I believe OEM lenovo trackpoint caps will fit right onto it, and they're more grippy and a little bigger and as such might feel better and be easier to control than the default nub.

Yeah, I've seen more videos about that PSP-1000 nub replacement, and it is basically just a square bit underneath, making it effortless to find any substitutes for it. Might consider taking in account that the 3DS close, and may touch the top-screen if it extrude too much. So no little custom 3D minuscule classic arcade joystick stick.

I mean, you could try gluing a pawn from a travel chess set to a TrackPoint cap. But you’d have to remove it to close the lid. But it would maybe solve OP’s objection to the non-moving nub - tilting the end of the lever will hopefully press sideways on the force-sensing mechanism.
