I'm just curious as to if this is even possible so that I can watch... videos for... (ahem) "research purposes", okay?

I don't think that is possible but you can convert the videos to use it on your 3DS Camera app!

Can't you already on O3DS? YouTube works perfectly fine :P
not that perfect for what he wants :c

The n3ds has completely different hardware when it comes to the browser. Changing it would be impossible. You can use youtube to get to any site with either the correct dns or finding a way out of youtube through the youtube app. You can also download the video and convert it into a cia to have on your home menu, or convert it into a format that can be played by the 3ds camera. Those are all of your options.

If Your Asking Is it possible to Do "Research" on a 3ds then your too young to be doing "Research" at all...
why not use your phone or desktop you used to make this thread? Seems more simpler

Using the trick to access other sites from the YouTube app seems to be the best option, you'll be heavily limited in what formats will work though as I don't think the O3DS has the same hardware decoding capabilities as the N3DS.

Even if your 16 I will admit that pretty much all guys from 13-17 have had some "research"

Considering your 16 from your profile, I will give you advice.

Get a job and buy a N3DSXL or N2DSXL with your money.

Or a 40 dollar smart phone. They exist and can play videos in 480p, a higher resolution than the n3ds.
