Just wait for somebody with an original or a better modchip to test this.

PS: My new toy could be used to patch the main.dol on the fly if somebody develops a .dol patch for the #002 protection

With your "new toy" will this let softmodders load the game or you still referring to modchippers only with the new tool you released?

If somebody develops a patch for the 002 protection which patches the main.dol, you had to patch the .dol and burn the modified image to get your result. With my toy you can use a 1:1 copy instead. If the patched game will work for softmodders or only for modchip users, nobody can tell for now.

Same problem happens on Donkey Kong Jungle Beat NTSCJ.
Tried BB and no BB as well as IOS swapping with Wakinko's patch, but always get the same error. Source file should be fine.
Only game I've gotten this error with.
Did notice when I ran the ISO through Wii Update Manager, it does the pop-up notifying you something is new that WuM is not familiar with, though all the information is read fine (meaning it likely isn't a bad copy).

Same here, just tried this today. Thought it would play fine, did see this thread before but didn't know that Donkey was affected also. Have you gotten anyway to play it?

Guess we'll have to wait for a new backup loader that maybe fixes this.

Why a new loader, why not a new version? I'm working at a on the fly patching tool, which allows main.dol patches with untouched 1:1 backup copies. Somebody wrote a patch for the 001 protection, why shouldn't it be possible to write a patch for the 002 protection and implement it in the current loaders?

Edited my post. Didn't mean a new backup loader but rather a new version

"the" backup loader? I thought we have at least 2.

Back to the topic:
I updated my toy to R2, now you can put a patched main.dol in the correct folder on your sd card and load this instead of the one from the disc. I hope somebody capable of writing a patch for the 002 protection finds my toy handy.

Seems quite impossible to me. Het probably ment Need For Speed Underground 2 !!

Hmm, could it be that the game checks if the system menu version is 3.4 or higher? Does the game work for starfall modchip users?

i check in some forums and it seems so. maybe it's a particular iso.
as i told before, as soon as possible i will burn that iso and i try.
