Hi, sorry I'm pretty new to linux.

Is there any way currently to get .NET Core 2.1 apps to run on Linux on the Switch?

I had a look last night but it seems like there's no way to install it on the current Arch implementation.

Is there something I'm missing or would Ubuntu work if I install that?

That's not really a Nintendo Switch question, that's a Linux question, probably more suited to a Linux forum I would guess. But if somebody knows the answer and is willing to help then that's great.

Perhaps check the Arch Wiki

Good point. But it also leads on to the next question which I didn't have time to type before a meeting which is: If so, do the Ubuntu images for switch have limited repositories to standard Ubuntu - i.e. will I find the dotnet sdk package there or does it only list packages that are specifically available for switch?

I've been hearing very good thing about Microsoft being very open source with .net now a days. I would be surprised seeing these articles come out and there's no Linux arm support. If you look hard enough you should be able to find them. Here's what a little bit of googling turned up

Ok so I installed Ubuntu and there's no terminal on switch - got that working over ssh instead.

Installing .NET Core via apt-get *didnt* work. That repository you linked was a build automator, not the actual runtime. However, it did have a link in the ReadMe to the actual runtime.

So thank you very much for posting that else I would have cried. Now I just need to find an arm64 build of mesa....
