If your Wii updated, you need to reinstall a cIOS.

Sorry for interrupting, but is there a step by step tutorial on how to restore the cIOS if it's nuked during a Wii update?

Does one just follow the "how to softmod your Wii from virgin to fully modded" instructions even though it's "partially softmodded"?

Yes, start from scratch and pretend it's a virgin console. I just had to do this myself.

Hi

Is it possible to place the Neogamma folder with wip and wdm files on the usb harddrive and have Neogamma read them from there? I would like to be able to use it without a sd card.

I have tried changing the Storage device in options to 'USB using cIOS' but that did not work. Neogamma did not find the wip file for Pop or the wdm file for Sam & Max 2. It worked fine from sd card.

I am using the final version of r8 and cIOS r14.

Thanks you.

This doesn't save the config to usb, and only works with FAT32 formatted usb drives. Hmm, maybe not even with them, i didn't test it, because my HDD has NTFS and wbfs.

Yes I could see that the config file stays on SD but the other files is moved to USB, but it doesn't use the wip and wdm file when they are located on USB. My harddrive is FAT32 (1. partition - primary - active) and WBFS (2. partition - primary).

It would be very nice if this feature could be fixed in the future

Thank you.

[...]WiiPower I have a small request i'd like to ask you its not important but useful,
Something like were Neogamma could remember the last game i've played, that away i wouldn't have to scroll through 70+ titles to get to the game that i'm currently playing every time i start up NeoGamma . I'm mainly asking because i'm a wiird user and its not uncommon for me to reset my wii 5-10 times on any particular game I think it would be a great addition. Thanks

I will consider it.
Sorry i haven't replied back, but thanks for atleast considering it, i know your busy with other more important things.

Hey I just installed this along with the HBC and I tried to launch Mario Galaxy 2 but I got Disc err 1178 ID (Or something like that, the number is correct though)

I have a 4.2 Wii (according to WiiDrives.com my Wii should be able to play disc backups ) And the only thing I've done to it is fallow the the "MODIFY ANY WII 4.2 & below" and installed NeoGamma obviously.

Is there any way to fix this?

I have a quick question in regards to my Gamepad.

If I try to launch a game from my USB HDD while the gamepad is connected to the Wii-mote, the Wii will freeze up and I have to manually reboot it. This has also happened with quite a few Homebrew apps. Is it a compatibility issue or is there a way to work around this? I found that if I connect the gamepad AFTER I launch the game, it will not register in the game. I'd really like to play my platform games with my gamepad.

I burned the disc to a DVD+R and put it in my Wii. Then I got IOS56_64_v5405.wad from NUS using NUSD (by WB3000) and installed it on the Wii using WadManager 1.7 (via USB because I can't find my SD card with my homebrew on it). Then I ran the disc using Neogamma r8, and it was no good----it said "DVD error (1167)"----does anyone know how to make it work? (This is for SMG2---a backup, and yes it's aclean working ISO) Also I have cIOS 249 rev 19 installed, and it also didn't work with rev14...

What does "DVD Error (1020)" mean? I keep getting it whenever I try loading SMG2 from a DVD (Wiiscrubbed ISO)

probably a read error due to the fact you are using DVD+R

try Verbatim -R and ImgBurn to burn the DVD

check this thread for a simple prog to check your drive for compatability ...

if you can, you probably just have a bad burn

recommended: verbatim DVD-R ImgBurn to burn the disk

Hey guys, I just burned Metroid and got the DVD Read Error (1167), sooooo... dunno what THAT means. I'll keep looking around the intarwebz, but has anyone found a fix for this yet?

Did you set the layer break? Assuming it's Other M.
