That's the funny thing, NeoGamma doesn't even bother making the config file... I first tried putting it in root, and nothing. So I tried putting it in the /apps folder, and the same error occurs. It shows the menu for a split second and then says "exception" and starts dumping. You think going down to cIOSr9 will do the trick?

I've tried R3 and R4Rc2 (Btw, the RC has the same icon), both of them just give me a big black screen with a lot of random letters / words on them and an error.

Edit: Does it matter that I used Bannerbomb?

Hmm, maybe. Are you able to start Gamma with this?

I was very hasty when installing the cIOS and failed to realize before the "Finished" it said Error! (Ret = -2011).

So the whole problem seems to be that I don't even have the necessary cIOS installed, or any for that matter. Do you know of a workaround for this when installing cIOS Rev13?

Yes, plenty, but i can't point you to a good guide, i don't know any. And i don't want to explain it from scratch. Look at this:

Thanks for the info, I've looked at that and found a few things... There's something called "WAD Manager 1.4", but I've looked at it and can't find whether or not it can install a cIOS, you think I should try it?

Sorry, but if you don't even know what WAD Manager is, you need to spend 6 hours in this forum reading.

Lol yeah I know how hard it is trying to help someone who doesn't know anything about a specific topic.

Anyways, I figured out most of this, thanks to you of course. You may not have noticed it but you've contributed more than you think.

How to downgrade from sys menu 4 with no cIOS!!

This guide will get all you people stuck on 4 with homebrew channel but no cIOS what you've been after! and yes...it works!!

You need to be connected to the internet for this to work.

1) Download Fix4.0-NeXtRL.it.rar

2) Get an SD card with nothing on it.

3) Copy the apps folder on the SD card.

4) On the Wii, launch the Homebrew Channel and select CMDVDX34, then pick "Downgrade IOS35", wait for it to end and come back to the menu, then exit.

If it says "Failed to add title, maybe you already ran this?", download IOS35-64-v1040.wad and install it using WMIOS35 or a regular Wad Manager, then exit and continue to follow this guide.

If it says that "you're a pirate" delete also all your VC/WiiWare pirated channels (with AnyTitle Deleter or WAD Manager), execute shared2clean and try again.

5) Delete the apps folder on the SD, copy the wad folder to the SD and rename the "apps2" folder included in the archive to "apps" and copy it to the SD.

6) Launch the Homebrew Channel again, and run WMIOS35.

7) Install cIOS249 rev9.wad.

8) Exit again, and run IOSDowngraderv1 from HBC.

9) If you want a System Menu lower than 4.0 follow this guide.

You know that a downgrade bricks your Wii if you have one of the "unsoftmoddable" ones? cBoot2 i already pointed at you, does work on ALL Wiis.

Alright, so I managed to install the cIOS Rev9 on my 4U Wii (using above instructions), but now I'm having a separate problem. When I run my MultiGame ISO of Resident Evil Zero (backup) it gives me a green screen and throws me back to BootMii. Is it because its GC, MultiGame, or something of a similar nature?

Note: I burned the ISO onto a DVD-r at 4x speed.

Your questions aren't even relevant to the topic here, yet the application's author bends over backwards to point you at the information you need. You say, in effect, "thanks anyway, but I'll go read/do random stuff instead" and then come back here asking for more help?

(If you're referring to me, which you probably are): I've said thank you and stated that he's pointed me in the right direction quite a few times. Also, when he pointed me to cBoot2, I noticed it looked complicated, which I wouldn't risk doing. I wasn't about to jump into something which could brick my Wii just to be grateful. Furthermore, while looking into cBoot2, I found another thread which showed me exactly what I was looking for.

I believe anyone who tries to install this program can run into the trouble I have faced. If you would think before writing, you would see this as "troubleshooting". So in effect, everything here is in a way relevant. So please, stay out of this.

So, yeah. If he hasn't gotten the message, here it is: You've just helped someone who has no idea what he was doing. Thanks, I'd + rep you if I could.

EDIT: Just got RE4 Wii to work

Many of you were asking for a channel with a diff banner and icon besides the hulk.. well here it is..(until someone makes something better) Just something I made with wadder in about 2 minutes..This is NOT autoboot.. ALSO INCLUDES Wii-sh sounds!!

This is simply NeogammaR3 injected into a wad with the icon from Neorame's loader and the banner art done by ShadowMoses (slightly altered to add Neogamma edition).. Thanks to everyone for the original hard work. This is nothing more than a combination of other's hard work through the use of wadder. THX WiiPower!!

Could someone make a forwarder channel version of this with the neogamma r3 edition part removed. On my tv the word edition gets cut off. Oh and removing it for future versions so you don't use r4 with it saying r3.

Can anyone make an auto boot version of NeoGammaR4RC1 or NeoGammaR4RC2 with press button 1 for configuration would be much appreciated

I could do this if I knew what to change in the source as I have been able to compile Neogamma succesfully with devkitPro.

Then look at the source of one of the Gamma autoboot loaders?

Ok well im new to this site but i have both the original gamma channel installed with auto boot and neogamma channel to neogamma works alot better with the new games and i to would love an auto boot channel of 1 of these as i could the delete my other channel, plus on rev 13 rebooting any launcher causes wii to freeze which is a bit annoying as it was the same with rev 10 but rev9 stayed and worked fine so i might just go back to rev9 unless they can make an auto boot option. alao i have installed the auto boot gamma channel on a few of my nephew and neices wiis because they got confused at the menu at the beggining, its because they are young so auto booting the games is great for them and everyone lol. please can someone do it soon and also without the hulk as that is just plain tacky.

It's just i would virtually try to cut the head of the person off who does this, IF it's an force ntsc channel, and i only see one post:"game xy does not work, i only get a green screen with NeoGamma" but NOT mentioning that he/she/it uses a crappy autoboot force whatever channel.

as above the auto boot is for the kids as most of us have, and like i said on rev 13 it freezes on reboot which as most kids when they hold the wiimote generally press B wen loading wii games. and the PRESS1 option is for people who actually want to change stuff and use the HDD SD channel part of it which only takes an extra finger to do when loading it, i can see you wont make 1 yourself but some-one i feel can this is open to them, also im not a NooB at this just new to this actual site.

! extra question thrown out to any1 who can help, i have just burned ghostbusters USA and i have a Pal wii on 3.2e CIOS rev 13 (not rev 13b) with both gamma and neogamma, gamma has the 002 error whilst neogamma loads the wiimote screen then freezes the wii and turns off the wiimote, this has never happened to me before, i have brickblocked it and regionfriied it and also patched to 249 but same thing happens all the time, any help would be nice. or should i wait for PAL version.
