The only information sent is the Disc ID and the user's key. I must check what I need to do to make it send a custom header so I can identify the loader without a parameter.

Also, I can create it with the "#define", no problem, but can I ask you again to add it as "default"? That's because most users only get compiled versions, so even if the code is added, it will need to be compiled (probably by me), so it will not change the actual situation, that I was expecting to avoid, so I could focus on the site and features...

If the reason is the delay before the game starts, it could be optional, as is in the other loaders. Let's talk about it xD

I don't want wifi code in my loader. But i can compile that version on every release and upload it seperately. How does that sound?

QUOTE(orange.x @ Aug 30 2010, 04:12 PM) Hi there! Can't find the following anywhere if it's possible or not.

I would like to see a way to make some new "default" settings. So when I insert a NTSC game it will automatically run in PAL mode. Because now I always need to go to the options menu and change it before I can enjoy the game. It would be really great if it would be possible.

Oh, and please correct me if I'm wrong and it is already possible.. But I softmodded the Wii of a friend last week and it didn't save it either on his Wii.. Don't know exactly which version of NeoGamma it is though.

Thanks in advance!

NeoGamma only saves the config file to sd cards. If you have a sdhc card, that's most likely the problem(sdhc cards are not 100% supported by anything on wii), get a high quality 2 GB sd card for your wii. Oh and you need to tell NeoGamma to save the config.

Sounds awesome to me!

When I get home I'll prepare the diff file

Does the game boot without hook and disabled Ocarina? If not, that's the problem. If it boots without Ocarina, then enable Ocarina, but don't put any codes on your sd card, and try all hooktypes until the game boots.

The game starts with hooktype VBI and Ocarina enabled as long as I dont have an SD card in my wii, so the problem has to be the code that I'm using.

I've actually been having trouble getting Ocarina to work with Animal Crossing, too, but with the Gamecube version. Everything goes fine up until the loader attempts to launch the game, at which point it gets stuck at "launching game...". I'm using the retail version of the game of course, and have been fooling around with devhooks and the like. Could the issue simply be a buggy code?

181KB is the expected size.
Use that with the installer and bin the other one

Just make sure it's in the 'wad' folder before running the installer.
ba-da-bing!

Is that correct, placing the 'wad' in the wad folder to use with the installer, I always thought the 'wad' gets placed on the root of the SD card.

I was wondering the same thing, where do you put the Mios v10 wad. I also have a question about multi cd games like metal gear solid twin snakes, can you put cd 1 and 2 on the same disc using multigame iso and if so how do you switch to the second disc when it asks?

In the game selection you can select which disc will be the 2nd disc by pressing Z on it. If you eject and reinsert the disc inside the game then, the plugin switches between both discs. Oh and if you don't select a 2nd disc, it's automatically detected for 2 disc games.

Hi!

I have looked on this thread and tried and tried again too get my backup copy of Eternal Darkness too work with this revision of NeoGamma. I also have tried starting the game through disc channel and through Gecko 1.9.3.1 with the same result. It just will not work. Every time I start it up it displays the message "An error has occured....". I hope that you can help me understand what is wrong.

I have:
Wiikey 2
cIOS38 rev17
component cables

I have tried burning the game both as a standalone iso and as a multi disc. I have tried starting it up in both PAL and NTSC.

I will be very thankful for the help I can get. Please ask if there is some more information you need from me.

Thank you in advance!

Read the mini FAQ from the 1st post. If you have a modchip, then only single game discs will work correctly for you on GC mode internal. On everything else(NeoGamma GC mode MIOS, Gecko OS, disc channel) you can try to eject and reinsert the disc after launching it, but before you get the error.

I'm sorry but I still get the same error message. I didn't know if you meant a single game on a multi game disc or a single game as just a burned ISO. I tried both variants though. I suppose you meant just a ISO off the game though, but I still get the same error message when trying too launch it through NeoGamma with Gamecube mode internal set. No other settings I should change?

I also tried removing the disc before the error message. Then it comes up a message that the disc is not inserted or something similar, when I insert the disc again the usual error message comes up " an error has occured...".

Latest beta 44.
Is it normal that Neogamma crash when loading a multi-gamecube game from a DVD-r/+r disc? Its sometimes gives me green screen and crash. But after a reboot or two the games works fine, or the game starts without problem. its total random :S

Try the newer cMIOS from the 1st post. I hope it fixes that problem, if not, i'm clueless how that happens. (well if you use a good cIOS)

Thought I share my email conversation with the Wiikey 2 support. I decided too write too them because I can't get games like Eternal Darkness and Wave Race Blue Storm too work. After allot off google:ing I have understood that this may have too do with the chip can't handle the audio streaming in gamecube games.

My email:

"Hi!

I have your wiikey 2. I have searched all over the internet too get my gamecube backup copy of eternal darkness too work without success. It is the audio streaming that makes the game crash right on the start up screen ("An error has occured...."). I have the same problem with Wave Race Blue storm wich also crashes when trying too audio stream on the start up. I have seen many people on the internet trying too get around this problem without any success. It must be the wiikey 2 that is doing something wrong with the audio streaming part.

Please inform me that you know off this problem and that you are working on a fix. Or please instruct me how I can get around this problem.

Thank you in advance."

Their answer:
" Hi

Do you use clean ISOs or patched ones. You have to burn from clean ISOs as this is working for us.

Regards
Wiikey Support Team"

What do you think, may the game work if I get a clean ISO? Is there any way off removing a patch from the ISO?

1. If you shrunk the .iso it's most likely damaged, but you can repair it with fstfix(just align all files, NOT audio stream fix)
2. If this happens when using a loader, but NOT when using NeoGamma GC mode internal, then you need to eject the disc and reinsert it before the error occurs
3. NeoGamma GC mode internal and disc channel do not require this trick
4. NeoGamma GC mode internal can't play games from multi game discs for modchip users
5. The game should work without modchip as backup, the audio streaming is just missing then
6. If you get the issue in disc channel with proper IOS, proper MIOS and without any system menu hacks(priiloader), then your chip is doing something wrong, or your .iso is bad
7. Which firmware of your chip did you try? I'm sure there are versions with fucked up audio stream handling
8. If the audio streams are played, but you get noise, then try fstfix with option s.

That's all that comes to my mind now.

I have not shrunk the iso. I have just burned the iso with Imgburn. The same problem occurs both when I try running it from disc channel and with NeoGamma GC mode internal. I have tried ejecting the disc and reinserting it but the error comes up any way.

Running cIOSX rev20 on IOS56 and WiiGator's cMIOS based on MIOSv10. I have startpatch 4.1 but that should not have something too do with it I suppose. The chip firmware that I have installed is v1.2.

But what about what the wiikey support team said? May the game work if I get a clean ISO (don't know if the ones I have is patched).

Isn't the latest firmware for your chip 1.9something? I assume the team is always talking about "when you use the latest firmware, then ...".
