@wiipower

NeoGamma 8 DSI's on exit when booted from the SM is this a forwarder fault or is it something to do with Rev 8 inparticular?

Rev 7 seems to return to the SM with out any problems but Rev8 versions all DSI

Do you have preloader? The latest beta is compiled with the latest libogc(but patched...), which changed something for the exit function. But if you booted from SM, NeoGamma shouldn't even try to use exit. I don't know.

yes i have priiloader, but i have confirmation from another user that uninstalled priiloader and said the forwarder still DSI's when trying to exit
@wipower and pepxl

That is me. I uninstalled priloader and I still get DSI dumps but only with Neogamma8 (I am pretty sure started with rev 10 or 11) I will check this when I get home tonight.

Update: I went back all the way to rev 8 and still DSI, I'll test rev 1 to Rev 6 later today

I am also receiving a code dump when trying to exit Neogamma. I'm using v15 beta on a 4.0U system with cIOS r14, loading Neogamma through a channel forwarder.

ok, im putting up shameless plugs all over for this, but i think it may help.

have you tried a forwarder channel using my libstub. it can be found in the usbloader GX source. it will load the hbc return stub before loading this program. then when this program goes to exit, it will act like it was loaded from HBC and *hopefully* wont crash.

with te version up 10 I have problem with same game on usb don't start tell me to remove disc ...???

That's a genious idea m8

But you guys know that you can try video mode patches if you get color issues?

My Wii is D2C 3.1U with a Wasibi Zero,. My game is Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. I am launching with NeoGamma R8. Various Video Mode option combinations give me black and white, blank, and green.

Should I try patching NeoGamma with the WiiPatcher? I do not see how to patch my iso other than renaming to Wiizard-tospal.dol because the WiiPatcher

only accepts *.dol.

BTW, I have about 35 blank DVD's. I just hate to make coasters.

Even if I have said this earlier I want to mention again that my PAL Asterisk and Obelisk plays fine with or without NeoGamma. I think that something new was done with my game.

Concerning the rebooter.
I've tested R8B15 and R7 and both of them don't work (entirely) on my Wii (4.2E with waninkoko's cios38rev14).
I haven't changed any option from the default values.
When I choose reboot from neogamma menu, the Wii restarts, then the game banner loads fine on the Disc Channel (logo/anim/music), but when I start the game (i've tested 2 games), it gives me an error, something like "Error, eject the game and shut down the console ...".
I had this behaviour with 3.4E also, it worked fine with 3.3v1 (with a former version of neogamma or maybe the original 0.3gamma...).
I have no Preloader, or any kind of patch installed, it's a "near-virgin" 4.2E Wii, only HBC, IOS236 from TBR, IOS249 and IOS250 from rev14 and a forwarder to neogamma. Nothing else is installed on it and I haven't patched anything, nor remove anything except IOS249 and IOS250 stubs with ATD-MOD.

It only works if your game was patched to use cIOS249.

Sad... with 3.3v1 and 0.3g it worked even if games weren't patched to use IOS249...
Are there plans to work it out in a future release ? (It's not a really important feature but I liked launching backups like that).
Concerning another subject, are there plans to add IOS222/223 support in NeoGamma ? (for games like Rock Band)

I think works as well with IOS from cioscorp ( i.e. if a game uses IOS55 installl its replacement from cioscorp and should work).

Yes, but the fact is that it worked without it. Just had to launch rebooter and games loaded from the disc channel.
At that time, I had a 3.3v1E Wii, 0.3gamma and an old IOS249 (maybe rev7) and absolutely no cIOSCORP. And it was "broken" since the 3.4E days.

Name the folder "NeoGamma" and put the .wip files into that folder. (I'm guessing one is for PAL (P) and one is for USA NTSC (E))

Set storage to SD, enable search for patches, and enable save config.

Done.

Would just like to say that after some messing around I got new super mario to work for me using the latest neogamma.

I have a cyclowiz installed with their latest firmware (Oct 2007)
dry.gif

Using an unpatched copy of mario.

Have system menu 4.1U, used the hackmii installer with bannerbomb to install HBC, am running neogamma from within HBC.

Loaded neogamma told it to search for the patches included in the release and everything's running fine.

Did not need to install any custom IOS.

This was a bit of a grey area to me i hope this helps someone in a similar situation.
