Okay so I sort of understand the .wip thing, but I'm using an SD to load NeoGamma, and a different SD (swapping the SD card midway) to load the game itself. I don't think I can use the .wip with that configuration. Maybe I'll go buy a USB device for this stuff. *grumbles* Someone help me figure things out because I have now, a clean unpatched ROM, and I'm still getting "An error has occurred" (not Error 002) when I launch it. Should I do the process "For Disc-Loader Users"?

Open the .iso in WiiScrubber, extract the main.dol, patch it with Generic Wii Patcher with the .wip file, put the .dol back, add the .iso to your wbfs device.

I used the patch process here instead but yeah, I finally figured out that was the way to go. Any suggestions for good, small, easilly portable USB 'drives' for this?
That is so Off-Topic....

But hey, because I'm nice (sometimes), I'll post the Link again, which I'm now posting for the second time today:

The .wip patch is the same as the .ppf patch, it's just another (in my eyes better) format.

Hahaha, sorry.... I know, but I appreciate the link. I'm gonna look over it and find something cheap and dynamic. Thanks, man.

I'm not too picky. I just was hoping to get it working. Thanks again. :D

So, with softmod + beta15, does NSMB play from DVD yet?

Just after a definitive answer :)

If you use the patch and a good cIOS, yes it should.

I have the latest Neogamma, with the .wip files
I have IOS249 rev14

Right, I'm ready to play my game.

I have the iso.
Neogamma R8 Beta 15
IOS249 rev14
.wip files on the SD card in a folder called Neogamma
I have enabled patches from within Neogamma.

Is that it?
Can I burn the iso, or do I need to scrub the game, or PPF patch it, or whatever else?

I can see others having similar issues too

You do not need to patch game if you use wip file. Neogamma will use this patch to run your unpatched game.

Back from r15 to r14, with cIOSrev14 (Wii 4.2 PAL) : no more DSI DUMP...
Any clue Wiipower ?

Not really. When i continue my work at Brawl+, i will take a look. Since you try to use Ocarina, it could be Ocarina related.

Anybody know how to remove cios38rev15 and reinstall rev14?
Just install Rev14.
Or use cIOS Uninstaller 1.1 to remove it and then install Rev14.

Nope, DSI occurs without Ocarina...
Maybe I should try again NGrev15 with no hook, cause I tried "ocarina = off" but "hook = vbi" then DSI dump...

What are differences between hooks ? Any better than others ?

Well here I leave the last update of Neogamma R8 beta 15 (Wiipower), modification of it, which works with cIOS38 rev15 error free 001 or 002.
Neogamma R8 Beta15-cIOS38 rev15
I put it here with all my good intentions,ok, I hope I do not murmur among yourselves for that.
Greetings.

Neburg.

Do you mind releasing the source? I would like to compile it with different graphics. TY

Is this one actually working?

Already tested, these are the results:

First test: load NSMBW - PAL version with search patches ON and the proper patch inside the SD card ... and, to my surprise, it was almost perfect...only a everlasting blinking in the screen, but that is due to the fact I got a NTSC Wii... never thought a PAL game would load so well in a NTSC console... ofc this was my first test using a PAL game on NTSC Wii...
one solution: blinking screen is avoided by using Force NTSC mode, making it a perfect loading. ^^
one problem: going Home > Wi Menu on a game with wrong video mode causes the wii to crash, needing hard shutdown/reboot. This won't happen if NTSC was forced.

Second test: load SSB: Brawl - NTSC DVD9 (Dual-Layer) UnScrubbed version... flawslessly! like on the NeoGamma r7 ^^ and that proves that my blinking screen problem was due to the fact that I was using diferent versions of video modes... Home > Wii Menu worked.

Conclusion: Flawless working version, with support to games with video modes different from that your wii is,working force video modes, Dual-Layer disc loading & playing, hability to apply patches on the fly, got no bricking (I am aware there's not way that could happen in NeoGamma but I think some nwbs should know this).

Note: If u still don't want to use this, u can try using uLoader, from Hermes, to load NSMBW, but Hermes disc loading takes 10 times more than WiiPower's and uLoader needs u to install cIOS 222 with cIOS 249 using IOS 38 merged with IOS 37 to work... Just to tell u guys: uLoader is currently on version 3.2 and is mainly a USB Loader that only recently had disc support added.

So, if u rather use rev 15 or want to play DL discs, this modded version works well...Needs further testing to know about support of acessories, which i can't make since the only acessories I have are GC controls and Nunchuks. And still needs testing on ocarina and hooks and that stuff, which I have no use so far...

Test Console Used:

Wii LUG64+ from USA
System version: 4.1U (NTSC, Waninkoko's safe version)
HBC version: 1.0.6
cIOS: 38 rev15

And yes, I HATE not beeing able to use bootMii to safe mod my system, so I do anything at my own RISK and got only a half-brick which I corrected long ago... When buying a Wii, ALWAYS check the version! Rather buy a LUG63 or less!!
Just a suggestion: DO NOT UPGRADE TO 4.2! There's nothing good to u in that upgrade, it will only kill your HB which u will need to install again and there's is a high chance to brick only by updating your Wii, even the official one have! Besides, idk if cIOS works on 4.2 official. bootMii and HBC have new versions that work... I managed to install cIOS on a 4.0U wii but I think the stubs on 4.2 Official could make cIOS useless or even brickable...dunno maybe someone here knows more about it. I rather stay with 4.1...

That's it! ^^

Luxiel

NeoGamma 8 DSI's on exit when booted from the SM is this a forwarder fault or is it something to do with Rev 8 inparticular?

Rev 7 seems to return to the SM with out any problems but Rev8 versions all DSI

Do you have preloader? The latest beta is compiled with the latest libogc(but patched...), which changed something for the exit function. But if you booted from SM, NeoGamma shouldn't even try to use exit. I don't know.
