I modified the r8RC1 source to make neogamma autoboot (thanks wiipower for your tips)

i made 4 versions that i still need to test, one waits 3 seconds, another waits 1 second, another waits 0 seconds and the last version waits 0 seconds also (but the code is slightly different than the other wait 0 seconds one) before autobooting, I haven't tested it yet (I am at work), so I will test when I get home

if someone wants to test it for me before I get home let me know and I can upload them and share... otherwise it will be awhile b4 i share anything (assuming it works)

EDIT: tests successful, I will post a new Neogamma Package soon

too busy with other things.
But it's so easy that you could do it in 5 minutes, because it is so easy, how can you say that you are busy with other things then?

Known issues in RC1:[/b]
- not compatible certain cIOS revisions(12,15 and 16)
- IOS Version patched 002 games give 002 error if the 2nd .dol is loaded(we need a better disc patcher)
- rebooter only works on few cIOS revisions(14 for example) and even then not for everybody

.wip files are expected in the NeoGamma folder.

The gameconfig.txt file, which is a required for Brawl+ and nothing else, is expected in the NeoGamma folder or the root of the sd card.

The rebooter does the same for me with cIOSrev17 --> after the game is launched from the disc channel it gives a DRE.
But I could not make it work with cIOSrev14 either...

lol, i couldn't do it if u gave me 5 hours!

some people bite off more than they can chew... then find excuses... maybe this is the case... maybe not... either way, neogamma doesn't need fat32 and ntfs support, i wouldn't even care if wbfs support was removed (not saying that it should be, just saying i wouldn't really care). All any1 should be using neogamma for now is launching backup DISKS!

RC1

cIOS rev17 looks good so far. Sam & Max(i have cIOS33 installed) and SSBB disc both work as they should, and i did not hear about serious game loading related issues yet. But the rebooter might be broken(again). Maybe it was just my test, maybe it's NeoGamma's code, or it's whatever. I could successfully test Sam & Max but Wii Sports failed. An important detail here is that i have the IOS requested by Sam & Max as cIOS installed. Anyways, i don't care too much about the rebooter as i don't see any purpose in it game loading related.

I changed the cIOS warnings, maybe fixed the code dumps on exit and added disabled autoboot code.

I also could start Sam and Max[PAL] (disc) (with beta17 and RC1 too), but I do NOT have the requested IOS as cIOS installed. I patched the game to IOS249. And I could reboot in RC1 too, because the game is patched to IOS249 otherwise I always get DRE after launching a game from the disk channel.

Neogamma r8RC1 Auto Boot Mod

modded Neogamma r8RC1 to launch the games automatically

To access the menu, hit any button while your trying to load a game
(you may need to tap it a few times until you get the timing right)

Neogamma Package Includes the Following

1) Neogamma Channel (with Auto Mod app embedded)-NEOG
this is perfect if you don't always have an SD card or USB hard drive plugged in your wii and you want to launch backup disks
(this channel does NOT stack dump when exiting)

2)Neogamma Forwarder Channel-NEOG
(this forwarder does NOT stack dump when exiting)

the channel forwards to the following Directories
(the naming convention is compatible with my HBC organizing Categorii package available here:

SD:/apps/neogamma/boot.dol
SD:/apps_emulators/neogamma/boot.dol
USB:/apps/neogamma/boot.dol
USB:/apps_emulators/neogamma/boot.dol

3)
Neogamma Auto Boot Mod app for the Homebrew Channel (with sourcecode),

4)
Neogamma R8 RC1 app for the Homebrew Channel (with sourcecode), and

5)
Neogamma.cfg file configured to launch games using the "Wii" video mode
(so settings will work on all wii's without having to make any changes)

*Note that Neogamma will not work with cIOS249 rev 15 or rev16, you must use cIOS249 rev17 (or rev14 or 13) or another compatible cIOS.
*Note that the forwarder channel requires an SD card or a FAT32 hard drive (with neogamma in the apps folder) connected to your wii for it to work

The forwarder looks exactly like this channel on youtube (by vettacossx)

But this video is not mine and does not launch neogamma so don't get confused. I will try to post a video of the Neogamma Auto Mod in action soon.

Many thanks to WiiPower for making Neogamma in the first place!

Please do not mirror my links

I know rapidshare can be a b*tch to free users but I would like people to use my links.
But if you are having rapidshare problems and you are a free user, check out Rapidshare Plus 4.0
it can autodownload a list of rapidshare files (it keeps retrying automatically, so you don't need to babysit it)

Thanks for this channel. This need a SD card right?

also, what is the channel id?

i think if u start it once with the sd card inserted (with the settings on it), it will remember your last used settings

u can always try making config changes and saving them without an sd card in the wii and see what happens (i've never tried this). Either it won't save (which is what I expect), or it will save the settings somewhere in the wii's memory (highly doubt it) or the app will crash. Either way, this is even how the original Neogamma is set up

the thing is, I need a channel that forces ntsc since I have some PAL discs... and this is for a wii without sd card or usb pen drive (For a non tech savvy person)

And no, it does not save the settings anywhere without an sd card

Me and 2 of my friends just tried Neogamma R8 RC1 using Brawl+ 6.0 off of a hard disk...

Everything works good except that SD card reading functionality inside Brawl is disabled...which not only makes Brawl+ not work fully enough as it can't read textures, character files and such, but you can't access your SD card even if it's inserted, you're greeted with a "Please insert an SD card" error.

Is there a fix for this anywhere?
I'm having this same issue. And I'm NOT using an SDHC card. 2GB Sandisk card, used it for everything else on my wii just fine, but when loaded using R8 RC1, Brawl acts as if there is no SD card inserted.

Does anyone else have this issue? Frustrating to say the least...

I agree with you to a degree, but I still use it for Usb because it seems its the only loader with proper updated hook options besides VBI\VI needed when making wiird codes, which i do on my spare time. I could just use disc or geckos i guess but you know.lol and i could be wrong about what i just said i haven't checked every loader out there.

So ok, regarding a final NeoGamma R8: Are there any bugs other than these Brawl+ sd card bugs and Rebooter problems? If not, R8 RC1 is going to become R8 final.

As far as i know NeoGamma is the only one with the new hooktypes, the new codehandler(some codes may require it) and the abiliby to have the code list somewhere else in memory(major requirement for Brawl+).
