The 05 at the beginning means: "disc not initialized/disc id not read". The rest specifies that error further, but i have never seen it, and i don't find an explanation in YAGD or with Google.
The first thing NeoGamma does is trying to read the disc id, and there you get your error already. If it was a DVD+R without DVD-R booktype, it should throw another error code. Also if your drive would not support DVD-Rs at all, NeoGamma would say so, at least the later versions do. So it "just" leaves bad burns, wrong burns or something else as error source.
Do not use DVD-RWs, burn the .iso as .iso with a program like Imgburn, and use the burn speed that printed on the discs or half of that if you think it's too fast. Also check if it's a valid .iso by testing it with Dolphin on your PC.
