from past experience ive noticed that the hyperkin hdmi cord for the wii cant handle certain res's too well
yet so far with the VC its been alright
C64, N64, SNES, NES, MASTER SYSTEM, MSX, ARCADE, TBGFX16 all boot and display fine
yet not neo geo
i have 3 Neo Geo vc's
KoF 98 (yes that exists, KoF 99 also had one), Fatal Fury special, and a VC inject of windjammers
and none of them display on the tv
do any of yall know why and if theres a work around that doesnt involve me having to get out the composite cords (tv doesnt support component) or using retroarch (hate it)

1) Have you already checked these games with the composite cable?
2) Have you tried unplugging and plugging in the HDMI cable Wii side when the screen goes black? Just to see if resetting the adapter helps.

It's your TV.

KoF 98 (yes that exists, KoF 99 also had one), Fatal Fury special
There is also Metal Slug 4, Last Blade 2, Prehistoric Isle 2, etc. KOF 98 is nothing impressive at this point. :D

You can't throw 240p over HDMI without your TV supporting it, hence why you get a black screen. Your VC games are probably first gen so they won't give you 480i no matter what. Your options are injecting them yourself onto 2nd-gen-480i-support VC games, or at the very least open the game and try the combo to change them from 240p to 480i on the fly, in case they are indeed compatible but starting in the lowest video mode for whatever reason, the setting is auto saved so you don't have to do it again.

Compression, doh. :teach:
