why cant i launch homebrew filter???i get black screen....... im basically stuck with a wii menu that has homebrew filter and disk channel and cant do anything else to it!!! why???
how long did you wait for filter to load, it takes about 20-30 seconds to load.(will give blackscreen first, then you'll see the throbber, then it will load.)

ok i thought i didnt wait enough before so i went again and tried and left it for a minute and still get black screen :(

try an redo the wad file for homebrew filter an see if that works. you can grab the wad file from moddmii under wii apps. an use a wad manager that can load a wad to your nand (yawmm will do this). or you can use showmii wad/nand to do the same thing.

still having same problem :( i deleted it then installed again and still.....but i installed a snes wad to nand and i also get same problem.....its just not letting me launch channels i guess....why is that??

hmm, not sure? you might want to try an redo every thing for neek2o.(this would be my next step). run modmii an rebuild every thing. use a 4.2 nand build(mine runs perfect on this build).if you have partitions on the hardrive make sure fat32 is the first partition. other then what i suggested hopefully obcd or overjoy will pick up on the topic an beable to help a little more.

ok i will make everything all over then....thanks for the help anyways :).....i had 4.3 nand so ill make a 4.2 nand and see how everything goes after that i will update this post if it all works

What is the best way to add priiloader to an emulated NAND after you have set it up initially? I have a few NANDs created with ModMii and some extracted from bootmii dumps that I would like to add priiloader to in order to use postloader

I have made a small update about the situation in the first post.
It's not the first time people report having problems with their neek nand if multiple channels are installed. We will need to check this out.
Basically, neek2o has some logging. if you create an eslog.txt file in the sneek folder, it should append it's logging information to that file.
If you create a cdilog.txt file, the di module will add some logging to it. It can contain anything. The moduule just checks for it's existance.
We haven't really changed much on the way neek handles channels in neek2o. All we did was moving the channelcache.bin file from the
sneek folder to a new sneekcache folder that is considered one of the nand folders.

Thanks for replying and for the hints about logging. I was talking about NEEK2O+DI but I must say that I had the same problem when using UNEEK+DI, so I don't think is NEEK2O related.I will do some logging :)bye

@obcd: i tested your new cDI beta.
renamed games ( usb:/wbfs/xenoblade[SX4P01].wbfs (+ usb:/wbfs/xenoblade[SX4P01].wbf1) and usb:/wbfs/mht[RMHP08].wbfs ) are listed at the game list, but they do not load into the disc channel.

go to this webpage and find the 000000XX.app corresponding to your system menu
https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/system-hacks/Mymenuify
then add 1 to it (so 4.2U would be 00000088.app)

navigate to title\00000001\00000002\content\ on your emulated and rename 000000XX.app to 100000XX.app, then download this file:
http://nusad.googlecode.com/files/Priiloader-v0.4.app

and save it to title\00000001\00000002\content\000000XX.app

done!

FYI, if u don't add 1 to XX that is the system menu theme. You can replace that file with a *.csm (must be built for the same system menu) to change your theme on the fly

edit: FYI, the next ModMii update will make this process A LOT easier ;)

Could you just change channels to hidden channels and allow Neek2O to launch them?

What's the simplest way to hide channels? Presently I'm deleting them from the uid.sys to speed up my boot time. It's not normally the done thing but as postloader re-adds the title on it being launched there's no harm done - saved games immediately become available on launching the title and it being re-added to the uid.sys by postloader.

Are you sure gamesaves become available again? I thought the uid.sys file was used to tell a game where it could find it's gamesaves.
I know an entry is automatically created if you launch a channel and the entry for it doesn't exist, but I thought it used a new location for it's gamesaves.

I wasn't going to delete the entries, but I just changed the first letter from the game id in the uid.sys file from a capital to a small letter.
If you launch the channel, neek2o will find the entry (even with the small starting letter) The system menu won't find that channel and won't use it's banner animation.

So, it works pretty much the same, but no new entry is created every time you launch the channel.

The channel will probably be hidden for the neek channelcache.bin as well, so it might fix the problem with 50+ nands some people are having.

@nintendiw
you are right. mine isn't playing either in that format. I'll have a look at it.

Regarding the latest code update ... do I just replace an .elf file on the SD card with the one in the first post ? And if so, will the neek2o 'swtiching' channel use the new .elf file ?

Before I take the plunge and fully switch to booting into neek2o, I assume Save Game Manager is able to copy save files from the system nand to an emulated Nand ? Does it work 100% and do I run it on the system nand or neek2o or either ?

ok so i guess the +DI nands werent working on my thing for some reason so i decide to do normal one and now i can use it with no problem.....but now that i have it installed what are some of the good things that i can do with an emulated nand??? lol kinda new to all this

Run WW/VC games :) Play your Wii games using the original IOS not a cIOS. The sky is the limit :)

r51 works.

I get the same problem and same log with r54 to.
r53 however works fine for me, using a 4.3 nand built with modmii.

A lot of changes in the last revs are untested and not well done. Some are useless and some will be not available in future revs. Rev50 is the last available stable revision

Bug fixes that fix issues with black screens on launch will be supported
