I'm trying to transfer my save from Hyrule Warriors(JPN) to a copy of the US version. I heard you had to extract the save data, then just replace a certain file, and import the saves back. I've done this multiple times using SaveDataFiler, however every time I've loaded up the US version, it isn't showing my data, instead it's still acting as if it's a new game. Both games have the latest update installed, and all dlc. So I'm assuming it isn't a problem with different software versions. I'm pretty sure I'm just doing something wrong, but the problem is I have no idea what I could be doing wrong with such a simple process. Anyone here think they can help me out so I can find out what I'm doing wrong ?
