Homebrew Need some help, HB loader wont launch

Let me preface this with the fact that I am doing this on a brand new *NEW*3DSXL and have previously never so much as played 10 minutes on a 3DS. I am following the https://3ds.guide/ for the NTRboot single system method. So far, it all worked! The problem is when I get to the part about finalizing setup and I need to launch the HB channel, it simply will not launch. I ender download play, bring up the Rosalina menu, misc settings, switch out for HBLauncher, close the download play app, launch it again and the screen flashes black and after a couple of seconds, I am back at the main system menu. IF any of you fine people can help shed some insight in this for me I would be very grateful.

Please, be kind and spell it out to me because I am too new to know all the terms and such yet for 3DS hacks.

If you can access GodMode9, look at this page: https://3ds.guide/uninstall-cfw . You may have to start over again, but that shouldn't be a problem given how short the tutorial is. Remember, follow the directions EXACTLY! Also, welcome the 3dshacking community!

I wouldn't suggest what was suggested above. It most likely won't make a difference and it is fairly tedious. OP, did you download the rosalina specific boot.3dsx and put it on your sd card? This is it if you need it: https://github.com/fincs/new-hbmenu/releases

You beautiful person! It worked first try. Ok, so I followed the guide EXACTLY as everyone says, so why didn't the guide say anything about needing a different version? Oh well, it's working now. Now I need to get all the stuff installed and try do something cool with this.

Well then, I must have totally missed it then. I read the thing like 6 times waiting on my flashcard to arrive. Thanks again, u still saved me from likely a good hour of frustration.
