need help with updating wiiflow

recently noticed that my wii's external (700gb) hard disk isn't in fat32, it's in raw for some reason but wiiflow reads it just fine. the mod was done in 2011, if i remember correctly. i formatted it to fat32 but the currently installed wiiflow version is 2.1 and the only option available in the "partitions" section of the settings is fat1 (whatever that is). i looked up a way to update and every tutorial basically says to create 2 folders, apps and wads, and then drag and drop the new version. but my sd card is set up in a different way and i already have a bunch of stuff in there with a bunch of different wads. what do i do? i'm kinda stuck here not knowing how to proceed. i replaced the wiiflow folder, but it doesn't feel right so i put the old one back in. do i clear the sd and try from scratch or do i reformat the drive to raw and continue with how it was before? wii backup manager does read it, but i wanted to use fat32 in case i needed to use it for dolphin or whatever

I would recommend to start from fresh and add all the wads back in and use the latest Wii flow version since your SD card is a clutter.

That must be an ancient version. Updating would've been easier than going back to WBFS.
