I'm trying to make some videos but I'm having quite a bit of trouble. I want to be able to record my game and also record my mic over the game's audio.
Just to let you guys know I have vista and you all don't have to just name programs that are free (I'll probably 'aarrrr' then if not). I am willing to download more than 1 item if it's necessary but if it's all in 1 program then a cookie for you.

I don't really want to use any console or game things. I would prefer a 3rd party software to use so I can use it with more than 1 game or purpose.

err why not just record the game videos you want, then dub what you want to say over it afterwards, there's no reason why you have to do both at the same time ?

eg:
record game video in fraps or whatever..
open *insert your sample editor/recorder of choice here*
play recorded video, hit record on sample editor and say what you want..
then just mix the audio together, there are a few different methods for this part, some dirty, and some more professional.
