Hey

I need help with Ntrboothax and my N2DS XL.
I can't boot to SafeB9SInstaller I don't know why

I successfully triggered the sleep sensor with a magnet, I flashed my R4i 3DS v5.0 flashcard and put the right files on the 3DS'SD card.
When I put the magnet at the right place, insert the flashed card and press X + START + SELECT + POWER, the N2DS doesn't boot to safeB9Sinstaller but directly to the home menu (with a black screen because the magnet triggered the sleep sensor)

How to be sure my DS flashcard has correctly been flashed?

Also, it's X + START + SELECT then press POWER. Not all at the same time.
Make sure the magnet is in a place where the screens don't turn on when the system boots. For me it's in a position slightly northeast of the ABXY buttons.

Yes I know the magnet is in place because when I press X + START + SELECT and then POWER, safeB9Sinstaller won't boot BUT my screens are black until I remove the magnet so that means the magnet is in place

That mostly means that it can't find boot.firm. Make sure it is in console's SD. Also, make sure SD is fat32 formatted.

Yes everything is OK i think...

But I just tried dsfirmverify.nds and I have this message:
ncgc nbegin_key1 failed

I guess my DS flashcard is not correctly flashed?

No, I can't see it in home menu and even on my DSi I can't see the icon

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Is it possible that I have flashed my DS cardbt it's not compatible?
I have a R4i 3DS v5.0 (not R4i 3DS RTS)

Can you post a picture of it? Both outside and inside (if possible).

I don't think that card is supported. If you make an issue here, then it might some day.

Problem is how can I try the last commit? I can't use my flashcard anymore and can't find a flashrom backup for it
You don't have another 3ds with arm9 access?
If this is the case my suggestion is just replacing it with a new compatible flashcard. r4ids.cn (r4iGold) is good.
edit: r4i-b9s is good too.

I was having this issue with an Acekard2i. It turns out it wasn't being recognized by the 3DS (as in, the cartridge wasn't being read as "inserted.") I removed it and reinserted it a few times and once the AK2i card showed on the 3DS screen, I was able to do the magnet trick. I don't know if it's the same for the R4 (as the Acekard2i did show up on the 3DS menu), but try reinserting it a few times. Certainly can't hurt.

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
