So I got the 1-bit mode error in Hekate. I am able to replace the reader on my own as it's just removing the old and putting in the new with no soldering required... but I was advised to check the pins first with a multimeter so I don't waste $ on a new reader if that's not actually the problem. I can borrow a multimeter from a neighbor but I don't know how to use the thing to check the pins and have a few questions.
What settings should the multimeter be on?
Which pins/where exactly am I supposed to touch the red and black probes to?
What readings/values should the multimeter show when doing so?
