Need help with a drawing.

I've been drawing something sonic like, and i'm about 2/3rds the way done, and I need help on where to put the eyes and mouth (As I kinda suck at this. )

..... I can't see how it looks like Sonic at all... You do mean Sonic the Hedgehog, right? 'Cause I can't even see how that drawing and Sonic relates to each other... Unless the thing that looks like a sword to me is supposed to block Sonic's eyes.

Sorry, I should have explained it a whole lot better.

I've been trying to do a bit of a close up with thispicture of sonic, but in a different pose and facial expression.

It's my first time ever drawing sonic, so I don't really expect it to even look like him or even look good either ;P.

Don't think about the eyes and nose for a second; focus on the whole head instead. The head is a sphere (possibly larger than your piece of paper). Figure out what way the head is facing and where the centreline of the face is, then place the eyes and nose accordingly. You might find they're hidden behind the sword depending on the angle you were going for.

You goofed up with the head, It should be coming out more so you can fit the eyes and mouth. but the sword looks alright, you may want to go back over it when you finish the head, also if your trying to get the same distance from the head and the sword then you should have used a bigger piece of paper, if not then your going to have to hid half the mouth and a eye behind the blade. dont give up though its alright for no experience.

I just took a look at the picture you're drawing and the picture you're trying to resemble, The only thing I've got to say is that you've drawn the head too much at the north-east, unlike you're goal. Or else, in other case, you've drawn the sword too much to the south-west, unlike you're goal.
In another way, it's perfectly perfect. But the paper's too small. You can take a bigger paper, draw the same thing but leave some space at the up-right corner to draw the head completely and eyes and nose and blah blah blah. You know what I mean.
